Base Class: Fighter
A dance of death. As beautiful in battle as they are deadly. Bladedancers leap across the battlefield, cutting through all that stand in their way.
Bonus Proficiencies
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in Performance and Acrobatics (if you don't already possess it). Your fighting style is also set to Dual Wielding regardless of what you picked at 1st level. (I can't actually remove the old fighting style yet but the new fighting style is applied)
Dance of Blades
Starting at 3rd level, you have learnt to dance across the battlefield, carving through all in your way. If you are wearing Light Armour and wielding Finesse weapons, at the start of your turn you can activate your Bladedance and give yourself +2 AC and +5ft movement speed until the start of your next turn. This modifier increases when you reach certain levels in this class, increasing to +3 AC and +10ft at 10th level and +4 AC and +15ft at 15th level. Attackers also have disadvantage on any opportunity attacks against you whilst Bladedancing.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (a minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Dance of Elegance
Starting at 7th level your skill and prowess has increased to the level that people have begun to speak about you. You gain proficiency in Charisma (Persuasion) checks (if you do not already possess it) and gain a bonus to the check equal to your Dexterity modifier.
Your skill has also increased to the point where you gain advantage on Dexterity saving throws whilst wearing light armour.
Dance of Pain
Starting at 10th level, when you use your Bladedance ability you gain a bonus to your Finesse weapon melee attack damage equal to your proficiency bonus.
Dance of Death
Starting at 15th level, you learn to turn your elegance and speed in dance to increase your martial skills. You gain one additional attack with your offhand weapon whilst Bladedancing and gain a bonus to melee weapon hits equal to your Charisma modifier.
You now regain all uses of Bladedance on a short rest.
The Last Dance
Starting at 18th level, the Bladedance can take you through an entire battle. When you roll initiative you can choose to activate your Bladedance then, gaining all the benefits of the Bladedance feature. This Bladedance lasts until the end of initiative or until you fall Unconscious or die.
Once you use this feature, you gain a level of exhaustion and can’t Bladedance again until you finish a long rest.

Posted Apr 25, 2020This sound so fun to play with! I will recommend it to some of my players. Or maybe just use it for a villain.... Good job!
