Base Class: Barbarian
By unleashing a miasmic cloud, they inflict damage over time to enemies within range. Alternatively, they can bolster their allies with temporary hit points, or intensify their own prowess, the strength of these effects scaling with the number of creatures within the aura. This subclass emphasizes a balance between dealing damage, supporting allies, and personal empowerment, creating a dynamic and strategic playstyle for those who embrace the shamanic path of the warrior.
Shamanic Aura
Starting at 3rd level, you emanate an ethereal, magical aura while you rage. The aura extends 10 feet from you in every direction, but not through total cover.
Your aura has an effect that activates when you enter your rage, and you can activate the effect again on each of your turns as a bonus action.
If your aura’s effects require a saving throw, the DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier.
Frenzied Vigor
When this effect is activated, a number of creatures equal to {{proficiency bonus+(classlevel/5)@rounddown}} of your choice within the range of your aura's effect gain 5 temporarily hit points. These hit points go away when your rage ends, or if your are unconscious or otherwise incapacitated.
Horde Resonance
When this effect is activated, you gain 1 temporary hit point per allied creature within your aura. These hit points go away when you rage ends or you are unconscious or otherwise incapacitated.
Miasmic Aura
When this effect is activated, all other creatures in your aura take 2 poison damage each. They take this damage again at the start of their turn, if they begin their turn within the effected area. The damage increases when you reach certain levels in this class, increasing to 3 at 5th level, 4 at 10th level, 5 at 15th level, and 6 at 20th level.
Shamanic Soul
Miasmic Aura
You gain resistance to spells that cause the charmed condition until the end of your next long rest.
Frenzied Vigor
You gain proficiency in one skill that ally possesses that you do not already have proficiency in. That ally of your choice must have been under the effect of Frenzied Vigor to activate this effect. This effect lasts until the end of your next long rest.
Horde Resonance
You are able to communicate telepathically with allies within 20 feet. Those allies must have been under the effect of Horde Resonance to activate this effect. This effect lasts until the end of your next long rest.
Aura Warding
At 10th level, you learn to use your mastery of your shamanic soul to protect others. Each creature of your choice equal to your proficiency bonus has immunity to poison damage while they are within your Miasmic Aura. Additionally your Miasmic Aura now spreads out from you in a physical wave. Any creature that begins their turn within your Miasmic Aura must succeed on a Constitution Saving Throw or suffer the Poisoned Condition. If they succeed on the saving throw they are immune to this effect. However they still take damage from the Miasmic Aura as normal.
Shamanic Mastery
At 14th level, the power you channel grows mightier, lashing out at your foes. The effect is based on your current Shamanic Aura
Miasmic Aura
Whenever the effect of your Miasmic Aura is activated, you can choose one creature you can see in the aura. That creature must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw, or its speed is reduced to 0 and is paralyzed until the start of your next turn. A creature immune to the poisoned condition or damage does not suffer these effects, whereas a creature resistant to the poisoned condition or damage has advantage on the saving throw to prevent this effect.
Frenzied Vigor
When you hit a creature in your aura with an attack, you can use your reaction to gain temporary hit points equal to half the total amount of damage you inflict during that attack action.
Horde Resonance
If a creature within the area of your Shamanic Aura fails a saving throw you can use your reaction to allow them to automatically succeed. You can do this up to a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per day.
Miasmic Ensnarement
Whenever the effect of your Miasmic Aura is activated, you can choose one creature you can see in the aura. That creature must succeed on a Constitution saving throw, or its speed is reduced to 0 and is paralyzed until the start of your next turn. A creature immune to the poisoned condition or damage does not suffer these effects, whereas a creature resistant to the poisoned condition or damage has advantage on the saving throw to prevent this effect.
Stalwart Resonance
If a creature within the area of your Shamanic Aura fails a saving throw you can use your reaction to allow them to automatically succeed. You can do this up to a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per day.
Vital Absorption
When you hit a creature in your aura with an attack, you can use your reaction to gain temporary hit points equal to half the total amount of damage you inflict during that attack action.
