Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Bodyguard Barbarians fuel their rage with their dedication to protect friends and allies.  They are adept at making sure that friends and allies are protected in battle, and become a force to be reckoned with when their loved ones are put in danger.

Protective Rage

While raging, every ally within 10 feet of the bodyguard gains +1 to their AC.  At level 10, this increases to a +2 to AC.

In addition, Bodyguards can keep their rage if an ally within 10 ft. of them has been attacked since their last turn.

Martyr

As a reaction, Bodyguards can move in front of an attack that is being made against an ally within melee range.  This must be declared before the attack roll is made, and the attack will roll against the bodyguard with advantage.  This can be done a number of times equal to the Bodyguard's proficiency bonus.  All uses of it recharge after a short rest.

Protective Retaliation

Bodyguards gain advantage on their first attack roll against any creature who has attacked an ally since the Bodyguard's last turn.

Avenge The Fallen

For every significant ally that has been killed or is currently unconscious (what counts as a significant ally is at the DM's discretion), Bodyguard Barbarians multiply their damage bonus on attacks.  This includes the damage bonus granted by rage.  This caps out at a 10x multiplier.  This feature can be used only once per turn, and a number of times equal to the Bodyguard's proficiency bonus.  All uses of this feature are regained after a long rest.

1 significant allies fallen = 2x multiplier to the damage bonus

2 significant allies fallen = 3x multiplier to the damage bonus

3 significant allies fallen = 4x multiplier to the damage bonus

4 significant allies fallen = 5x multiplier to the damage bonus

5 significant allies fallen = 6x multiplier to the damage bonus

6 significant allies fallen = 7x multiplier to the damage bonus

7 significant allies fallen = 8x multiplier to the damage bonus

8 significant allies fallen = 9x multiplier to the damage bonus

9 significant allies fallen = 10x multiplier to the damage bonus

For example, if the Bodyguard has a damage bonus of +5, and 4 significant allies have fallen, the damage bonus would be +25
