Base Class: Fighter
The human Retiarius circles his foe, his oiled body shining in the sunlight. The crowd cheers as he managed to entangle his opponent in his net. He stands above his opponent, his trident poised over his opponent's heart. Glancing up at the Emperor he sees the signal to kill his foe and his trident begins its deadly path.
A Lizardfolk Murmillo is locked in mortal combat with his fighting partner. The battle lasts for at least half an hour until he finally gets beaten down to the ground. He looks pleadingly up at the Emperor. To his relief he is given the thumbs up sign. His life is spared.
A Half-Orc Bestiarius hunts a huge male lion. Silently he sneaks up around a pretend tree. Startled the lion looks around at him as his spear sinks into the lion's neck. The crowd goes wild as the lion falls limp to the ground.
Gladiators are generally some of the most unorthodox fighter you will ever meet. Often Gladiators are prisoners that are forced to fight, although sometimes they are free citizens who choose to fight for people's entertainment. Normally Gladiators fight other Gladiators but sometimes they fight wild beasts instead. Armor is a rare sight among Gladiators and the ones who wear it often only have greaves (leg guards), galerus (shoulder guard), or a Galea (visored helmet).
