Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

In a world where the clash of swords and the roar of magic reverberate through battlefields, a rare breed of barbarians known as the Wardens stands apart. Forged in the crucible of war, they are not merely masters of blind rage, but embody the essence of a sentinel, a bulwark against the tide of chaos. Driven by a relentless devotion to their comrades, the Wardens wear their battle scars like badges of honor, a testament to their unwavering dedication. Clad in rugged armor adorned with the symbols of camaraderie, they are the guardians of hope, the defenders who place themselves squarely between their allies and the storm of war.

The heart of their power lies in their capacity to endure. When their rage ignites, they draw upon an inner wellspring of strength, enabling them to take upon themselves a portion of the harm intended for their companions. Their very presence is a challenge to the enemy, exploiting momentary weaknesses in the opposition's defenses. This calculated aggression transforms the Wardens into tactical juggernauts, weaving a dance of protection and retribution amidst the chaos.

The Path of the Warden is a journey of sacrifice, of stepping forward when others might step back, of absorbing blows intended for others and transforming them into a renewed resolve to protect. It's a calling that transcends mere combat, rooted in the bonds of fellowship and the belief that the strength of the group is mightier than the sum of its parts. As the Wardens stand tall amidst the clash of arms, they become a symbol of unity, a living testament to the power of protection and sacrifice in the pursuit of victory.

Unbreakable Aegis

Embodying the ideal that the best defense is a potent offense, you wield your shield as an extension of your resolve. When your sole protection is a shield, your AC gains a formidable +3 bonus instead of the usual +2. Beyond its defensive role, you've mastered the art of wielding your shield as a two-handed weapon, dealing 1d10 bludgeoning damage to assailants.

But it is your unwavering dedication to safeguarding your allies that truly sets you apart. When wielding your Aegis and an ally within 30 feet is struck by an attack, you can react swiftly. With a burst of speed, you jump without provoking opportunity attacks, interposing yourself between your ally and the assailant. The attack becomes aimed at you, and your resolute stance grants both you and your ally temporal hit points equal to your constitution modifier + proficiency bonus. This act not only redirects the attack but fortifies the defenses of both you and your ally, transforming a dire threat into a moment of strategic opportunity. You can use this feature a number of times between long rest equal to your proficiency bonus.

Stand Behind Me

At 6th level, your valor and determination shine through as you protect your allies. While raging and wielding your Aegis, you can spend an action to turn your shield into a 10 by 10-foot wall of willpower. This wall moves with you and offers cover to those behind it. Creatures can see through it, but only you and your allies can attack through it. The wall has hit points equal to twice your barbarian level plus your constitution modifier, and its AC matches yours. Attacks aimed at allies behind the wall hit the wall instead. If the wall's hit points go to 0, you take any remaining damage. Area effects that target behind the wall stay in front of it, protecting those behind. This feature doesn't require attacking or taking damage to keep your rage active. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your constitution modifier and regain all uses after a long rest.

At 11th level you can use your reaction to activate this feature when your Danger Sense Barbarian Feature is activatated.

Hopeful Resurgence

At 10th level, in a gesture of unwavering support, you can offer hope to your companions. Using a bonus action, you channel your inner strength to grant temporary hit points to all allies within 60 feet who can hear you. These temporary hit points equal your barbarian level plus your constitution modifier. Additionally, any unconscious allies within 30 feet of you regain consciousness with 1 hit point.

You can use this feature once before requiring a long rest to use it again.

True Warden

Upon reaching 14th level, your raging fury grants you the ability to select an adversary that stands as the paramount threat. With unwavering determination, you dedicate yourself to shielding both you and your allies from the brunt of their devastating attacks. When positioned within 5 feet of the designated foe and it makes an attack, roll a d20. If the roll is a 16 or higher, their attack fails, intercepted by your formidable defense.

Should the marked creature reduced to 0 hit points under your vigilant watch, you tap into the triumphant surge of adrenaline. Your indomitable spirit fuels your recovery, and you regain hit points equal to your barbarian level, allowing you to rise from the battle with renewed vigor.
