Base Class: Monk
Monks of the Way of the Bronze Dragon see the speed and brilliance of a bolt of lightning as worthy goals. They achieve this through pacts with Bronze Dragons, when a pact is made the Bronze Dragon will tranfer a small amout of their power into the Monk they will only do. They will only give power to those they find worthy enough to wield it.
Essence of Lightining
Beginning when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, your speed increase gained from Unarmored Movement is twice the amount shown on the Monk table. When you use your Unarmored Movement to move faster than a normal member of your race, small bolts of harmless lightning flicker around your body. Until the start of your next turn, you shed dim light in a 10 foot radius and have disadvantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks. Your Speed also allows your Flurry of Blows to give three aditional unarmed attacks
Additionally when you use the Attack action on your turn, you can spend 1 ki point to cause bolts of lightning to stretch out from your fists and feet. Your reach with your unarmed strikes increases by 10 feet for that action, as well as the rest of the turn. A hit with such an attack deals lightning damage instead of bludgeoning damage, and if you spend 1 ki point when the attack hits, it also deals an extra 1d10 lightning damage.
Gift of Bronze
Beginning at 3rd level, you are able to channel lightning into yourself to help restore your ki. If you are targeted by an attack, you can absorb some of the energy to regain ki points depending on the Proficiency Bonus of the creature that hit you. You can't surpass your normal limit of ki points in this way. You gain resistance to lightning damage.
You gain one ki point for every point of Proficiency Bonus
Improved Essence of Lightning
Also starting at 6th level, you gain the ability to vanish in a harmless flash of lightning, instantly reappearing somewhere else in a similar fashion. You can spend 2 ki points to cast misty step. At 11th level, this power expands to enable you to spend 4 ki points to cast dimension door. At 17th level you can spend 8 ki points to cast teleport.
Path of Lightning
As an action, you spend 1 ki point to make a single unarmed strike against one creature you can see. If you hit, you can run almost instantly in a straight line to another visible creature within 30 feet and attempt an unarmed strike against that one. If that strike is succesful you can continue to move up to another 30 feet to a third target. If you choose, you can spend 2 extra ki points after the third succesful hit to continue on to a fourth and possibly fifth creature. If you choose to spend an extra 2 ki points when starting this action, any creature you pass within 5 feet of you while using Path of Lightning suffers 1d6 lightning damge. If a selected target creature is beyond anything that would prevent your walking or running (a gate, a chasm, a high perch. ) you cannot use the ability to get to it.
Wings of Bronze
At 11th level, you gain the ability to sprout a pair of dragon wings from your back, gaining a flying speed equal to your current speed. You can create these wings as a bonus action on your turn. They last until you dismiss them as a bonus action on your turn.
You can’t manifest your wings while wearing armor unless the armor is made to accommodate them, and clothing not made to accommodate your wings might be destroyed when you manifest them.
