Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

An oath of liberty is spoken by those who wish to see those wrongly imprisoned freed, slaves' shackles broken, and tyrants brought down. They strive to maintain personal freedoms and the right to make one's own decisions.

Free Those Enslaved. No one deserves to be a slave, so they must be freed.

Respect Other's Decisions. I must allow others to make their own decisions, even if I do not agree with them, so long as it hurts no one else.

Depose Tyrants. Law is no excuse for needless cruelty, and those that abuse it should be removed from power.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Pain Reflection. Whenever you cast Divine Smite, you may channel the oppressed's pain toward your foe, using your Channel Divinity. That creature must make a constitution saving throw.

On a failed save, the creature falls prone, the creature’s speed is 0 and can't take reactions until the end of your next turn, and it can’t benefit from any bonus to its speed.

On a successful save, the creature’s can't take reactions and its speed is halved until the end of your next turn.

Escape While You Can! As a Bonus Action, you may expend a use of your channel divinity to give the benefits of the disengage action to all creatures of your choice within 30 feet (including yourself) and increase their movement speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn.

At level 15, You refuse to allow your allies to be oppressed. Whenever an ally in your aura takes damage, you may use your reaction to half the damage they take and allow the ally to use their reaction to move up to their speed without provoking opportunity attacks.

Avatar of Freedom

At 20th level, you can assume the form of unbridled freedom. Using your bonus action, you undergo a transformation. For 1 hour, you gain the following benefits:

  • Your movements no longer provoke opportunity attacks.
  • You ignore all difficult terrain and may move through enemies' spaces.
  • You and all allies within your aura have advantage on all saving throws against condition granting effects.
  • You gain an additional reaction now and at the start of each of your turns.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest or you expend a 5th level spell slot to use this feature again.
