Monk
Base Class: Monk

Long ago there was a monk, a master of the four elements of earth, air, fire, and water. This monk traveled to each of the four Elemental Planes to learn the techniques and traditions of the primordials. With these techniques they returned to the Material Plane to teach them to their fellow monks. Through generations these elemental teachings were honed for each element. The monks who are devoted to the way of the changing tides are as versatile and resourceful as a flowing river, yet have the wrath of a mighty typhoon.

Control Water

You're able to magically control water, using 1 ki point and an action, you can siphon 5 cubic ft of water out of the flora and air in order to manipulate it within a range of 30 ft to create a shape.

Flowing Fists

You are attuned to the flow of combat, and those who dare linger out of reach will find themselves in the deep end. You can use water tendrils to give your unarmed strikes an additional 5 ft of reach.

Spirit Water

On the battlefield, it is very likely for you to sustain injury, however the way of the changing tide monks have a trick up their sleeve, you can use an action and 2 ki points to heal yourself for 1d6+ your WIS modifier.

This healing increases by 1d6 every other level.

Octopus Stance

The way of the Changing Tides, much like the other elemental traditions have a stance associated with their element. Using an action and 2 ki points, the octopus stance allows you to create a wall of water with tendril like peaks around you within a 5 ft radius for up to 1 minute by concentrating. This grants a +2 to your AC. If a creature is within 10 ft of the wall you can use a reaction to attack that creature with the tendrils, causing them to make a dexterity saving throw. Dealing 1d6+ your WIS modifier damage, half as much on a successful save.

Flash Freeze

You have learned how close the relationship between water and ice truly is. Using a bonus action and 2 ki points, you can instantly freeze or thaw up to 10 cubic ft of water or ice that you are able to see within 30 ft, if you use this feature to freeze an opponent in a block of ice, they can use an action to make a strength check to break free.

Frozen Spike

The versatility of water is what allows the way of changing tides monks to adapt to any situation, even mimicry. With 2 ki points and an action, you can cast the Ice Knife spell. Using your ki points as if they were spell slots, allowing you to upcast Ice Knife, up to 5th level.

Puppeteer Stance

The darkest and most disturbing technique of the way of the changing tides monk, a technique that is as powerful as it is unnerving. Using an action and 5 ki points, you can enter a marionette like stance and choose a creature with a CR rating lower than your monk level and cause them to make a wisdom saving throw, if they fail this saving throw you concentrate and take absolute control over the creature for up to 1 minute. Whenever you control a creature this way, you can sacrifice your action, bonus action, reaction, and movement to control their own, puppeteering them as they are forced to do your bidding. After this effect is ended for any reason, the creature that was under your control becomes frightened of you for an equal amount of time that you controlled them.
