Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

This small but dedicated order of Paladins was created during a time of plague. The clerics of the temple of Mop trained them as enforcers for the standards of hygiene that would allow them to curb the spread of a deadly disease. Unwashed hands, filthy clothes, even extreme clutter were all vectors for the plague to spread. Those who took up the oath vowed to never allow their own untidiness to be the suffering of another, nor tolerate others doing the same. So zealous they were that even though their efforts were successful, the resentment in their homeland pushed them to wander the world in search of places in need of their services. As wandering Paladins, some take apprentices to pass on their teachings to.

Tenets of Cleanliness

Tidiness: a place for everything, and everything in its place

Purity: wash your hands, or lose them

Care: those who cannot clean themselves need to be cleaned

Be the example, make an example: the methods are for you to decide. Do the work yourself, or make sure others do it

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Pick up your mess. As a reaction, you can return a thrown weapon, object or projectile of non-magical origin landing or passing within 10 feet of you to whoever sent it, with its original effects unaltered

Turn the Unclean. As an action, you present your holy symbol and speak a prayer censuring lowlife, vermin and undead, using your Channel Divinity. Each lowlife, vermin or undead that can see or hear you within 30 feet of you must make a Wisdom saving throw. If the creature fails its saving throw, it is turned for 1 minute or until it takes damage.

A turned creature must spend its turns trying to move as far away from you as it can, and it can’t willingly move to a space within 30 feet of you. It also can’t take reactions. For its action, it can use only the Dash action or try to escape from an effect that prevents it from moving. If there’s nowhere to move, the creature can use the Dodge action.

An undead turned in the vicinity of its original resting place is returned instead. The undead will behave exactly as if turned, but instead of getting away from the caster it will attempt to return to its grave. If left unbothered in its grave until the end of the effects it will need to pass another Wisdom saving throw or return to a state of natural death.

Oath Spells

You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.

Oath of Devotion Spells

Aura of Navigating Disorder

Starting at 7th level, you and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you have advantage on saving throws against the effects of substances, secretions or items spilled/spread on the ground. Does not apply to the initial effect of traps, but it does to the subsequent effects of whatever substance or items are left after the trap is triggered. Does not affect saving throws against inherent, natural effects of the terrain

At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.

Unsoiled Body

Beginning at 15th level, you cannot be coated with liquids or sticky substances, such as oils, acids, poisons, greases, secretions. You do not need to wash yourself or the clothes you wear.

Cleansing Might

At 20th level, as an action, you can emanate an aura of purity. For 1 minute, all magical and non-magical effects and substances are cleared from the air and ground 30 feet around you, unless they are ground effects inherent to the terrain

You are unaffected by difficult terrain and obstacles not affixed to the terrain and not heavier than yourself will move out of your way

You gain 3 temporary charges of lay on hands and ignore the first 5HP cost for each use

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
