Base Class: Barbarian
The Sanguine Barbarian is a warrior who thrives in the depths of battle. The feeling of pain and adrenaline in combat only seems to excite them. The path of Sanguine requires the Barbarian to ritualistically bathe in the blood of their enemies on a consistent basis. After maintaining this ritual for long enough the barbarian is elevated towards the path of Sanguine, granting them the bonuses of the subclass.
Ritualistic Bloodbath
This action can be used after combat. Following any combat with entities that bleed the Barbarian may spent 10 minutes completing a ritual that give the barbarian temporary hit points equal to their barbarian level plus their constitution modifier.
Bloodied Rage
At 3rd level your dedication to the blood rites you gain access to The Path of Sanguine. While gaining access to this subclass you must make the ritual weekly otherwise you start bleeding. Each day following the start of this effect the effect progresses until the ritual is satisfied. When raging add 1d4 to your attack on successful attack rolls. This bonus damage die increases when you reach certain levels in this class. The die becomes a d6 at 5th level, a d8 at 10th level, and a d10 at 15th level. When below 50% hit points add one additional die of the same level to the roll.
Peerless Rage
Starting at the 6th level your rage is matchless when in combat. If 2 or more enemies are within melee range gain advantage on any crowd control saving throw. Upon failing though Rage is ended at the start of the barbarians next turn the thirst for blood must be sated whether it be your own or the enemies.
Bloodied Attack
Starting at the 10th level you can use your bonus action while raging to add the ability to cause bleeding on your attacks until the start of your next turn. When using a slashing or piercing weapon you have the chance on hit to cause bleeding. Every other round (12 seconds) that a creature is bleeding, they must succeed a Constitution saving throw (the DC is the one stated by the severity) or take 1D4+stage damage (the type of damage is the type that started the bleeding) and progress to the next stage.
Retaliation
Starting at 14th level, when you take damage from a creature that is within 5 feet of you, you can use your reaction to make a melee weapon attack against that creature.
