Base Class: Blood Hunter
The Order of the Bloodletters is renowned for their mastery of blood magic, a dark art not only employed to manipulate their own life force but also to control the very essence coursing through their adversaries. Their strikes, precise and deadly, target vital points, causing their foes' lifeblood to gush forth as swiftly as their souls depart. Legend has it that this unorthodox combat style was conceived by a vampire of ancient lore. However, as his insatiable thirst for blood overtook him amidst the sea of crimson spilled by his enemies, he descended into madness. He relentlessly slaughtered and drained any who dared cross his path until he was ultimately vanquished, much like the savage creature he had become. Nevertheless, the legacy of this order endures, a testament to the enduring power of creation outlasting its creator.
Rite of Bleeding
When you join this order at 3rd level, you learn the Rite of Bleeding as part of your Crimson Rite feature. While the Rite of Bleeding is active, the extra damage dealt by your rite is the same as your weapon. While active whenever you damage a creature with this rite the creature starts to bleed, at the end of its next turn, the creature will take necrotic damage equal to half of the rite damage it took since it's last turn.
This rite can only be applied to weapons that deal piercing or slashing damage
Hemorrhaging Magic
Starting at 7th level, you gain the Blood Curse of Hemorrhaging for your Blood Maledict feature. This doesn’t count against your number of blood curses known.
Blood Curse of Hemorrhaging
As a reaction when a creature within 60ft of you takes necrotic damage due to your rite's bleeding effect, you can choose to open the wound of the creature with your blood magic so that the creature continues to bleed. Doing so causes the creature to take necrotic damage at the end of it's next turn equal to the same damage it just took.
Amplify. Until the end of your next turn, any bleeding applied by your rite will make the target take necrotic damage equal to the damage dealt by your rite instead of half.
Flagellant Focus
Starting at 11th level, you learn how to use your own blood to sharpen your senses and guide your strikes, when you make an attack you can choose to take damage equal to twice your rite dice and gain advantage on the attack.
Brand of Exsanguination
At 15th level, your brand of castigation thins the blood of your enemies making their wounds bleed faster. The branded creature has vulnerability to the necrotic damage dealt by your rite.
Phlebotomizing Strikes
Upon reaching 18th level, you learn how to aim and strike at critical points in your opponents allowing you to cause massive bleeding. Your attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 19-20 and after you crit a creature it takes damage equal to the bleed damage it would take at the end of it's next turn.
