Base Class: Fighter
Fighters that follow this archetype have a declining mental health, and they know it. But, be it by choice or obligation, decided to keep their toxic lifestyle instead of seeing a therapist. They instead use their problems and transform them into strength to become a terrifying menace on the battlefield.
PTSD
At level 3, you have seen enough death in your life and refuse to see more of your allies die. Whenever you or one of your allies passes below half their hit point maximum, your attacks are fueled by your determination and become deadlier. Whenever you attack someone with an attack, you add a d4 to the damage rolls. This d4 turns into a d6 at level 10, a d8 at level 15, and a d10 at level 18. The first time you deal this additionnal damage after you or an ally passes below half of their total hit points, you can trigger one of the following effects:
Desperate scream: You beg your allies not to leave you alone again. Each one of them that can hear you gain temporary hit points equal to your fighter level.
Do not touch my allies: You get ready to protect your nearby allies and enter a protective stance. Until the begginning of your next turn, you can use your reaction to attack anyone in your range about to attack you or one of your allies. If your attack hits, the ennemy’s attack is canceled and they cannot use a reaction until the begginning of their next turn.
You’re going to regret this: You refuse to see the ones hurting your allies leave unharmed. Until the begginning of your next turn, you make all of your attacks with advantage and you deal an additional damage die whenever you score a critical hit.
Lesbian
At level 7, you find comfort in the arms of your lovers and you learn to use your feats on the battlefield to impress people. You can add your strength or your dexterity modifier to any charisma check aiming to seduce someone. You also gain proficiency in persuasion if you don’t already have it.
Depression
At level 10, you learn to use the emptiness that fills your mind and to cling to the little hope you have left. Whenever you use your second wind feature, you enter into a depressive episode. In this state, the number you need to score a critical hit is reduced by two and you are immune to charm. This episode lasts until the end of your next turn, but you can extend it using a bonus action a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus.
Anxiety
At level 15, you managed to master and redirect your anxieties towards your goals. You cannot be surprised and you have advantage to any perception checks trying to locate an ennemy.
Alcoholism
At level 18, you found streng th in your most toxic coping mechanisms. Whenever you are drunk, you gain the benefits of your depressive episode as long as you feel the effects of alcohol. You do not suffer disadvantage on your attacks due to being drunk.
