Base Class: Rogue
You have learned to cloak yourself in shadows and have become woven into one and the same. Rogues who follow this archetype, often called the Silent Shadow, have acquired an instinctive grasp of how to embrace the darkness and bend it to their will. Silent Shadows over time learn how to develop this practice, blurring the border between flesh and darkness.
Art of Silence
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain a limited ability to manipulate the surrounding noise and shadows. You can duplicate the effects of certain spells without providing material components.
As an action, you can cast pass without trace without material components, once per long rest. Additionally, you know the minor illusion cantrip if you did not already know it.
Shadow Crown
At 3rd level, you gain access to the Shadow Crown ability. Additionally, you have darkvision of 60 feet, unless you already have more from another source.
Shadow Crown
One creature with a shadow of your choice that you can see within range must succeed on a Strength saving throw or become controlled by you for the duration.
You force the creature to make an action of your choice, attacking or moving as you wish.
On your subsequent turns, you must use your action to maintain control over the target, or the spell ends. Also, the target can make a Strength saving throw at the end of each of its turns. On a success, the spell ends. If a creature is not currently casting a shadow, or loses their shadow, for example by moving into complete darkness, this ability ends.
The save dc of this ability is equal to 8 + charisma modifier + proficiency, and is useable a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier. Using this requires concentration, as if concentrating on a spell.
Creatures of Shadow
Your connection to the shadows strengthens, giving you the ability to call upon the monsters that lie within it. At 9th level, as a cunning action, you can cast the 3rd level spell, summon shadowspawn. Everything the spell requires is still necessary, excluding the material components. You can use this action a number of times equal to half your proficiency bonus, rounded down.
Keep in mind, this spell is not part of the basic rules, therefore I can't add it to class abilities, please add your own source for your sheet.
Shadow Tendrils
Your connection to the shadow further advances, nearing it's peak. You no longer need to summon already existing creatures, instead molding the shadows themselves to attack for you. At 13th level, as a bonus action, you can create a shadow tendril from an area of dim light or darkness that you can see within 60 feet, and attack with it, with a range of 15 feet. This tendril requires concentration as if it's a spell, lasting up to one minute. As a bonus action on later turns, you may move the tendril up to 30 feet, but it must remain connected to dim light or darkness. This shadow tendril deals 2d6 cold damage, using your dex modifier, as if you were proficient with it. It has adv on targets inside dim light or darkness, and sneak attack can apply to it, should it meet normal requirements. Sneak attack, as normal, can only apply once per turn (Ex. You attack with this, as well as a dagger, and both meet the requirements for sneak attack. Only one of these gain the benefits of the sneak attack damage). This ability can be used a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
Clone of Shadow
When you reach 17th level, your control of the shadows is at its peak. As an action, you can create a perfect duplicate of yourself made of pure shadow, that being your shadow, that lasts for 1 minute, or until you lose your concentration (as if you were concentrating on a spell). The duplicate appears in an unoccupied space that you can see within 30 feet of you. You can do this once per long rest.
As a bonus action on your turn, you can move the duplicate up to your speed, to a space you can see, and make the duplicate make an attack, but it must remain within 120 feet of you. The duplicate uses your DEX modifier to make the attack, on a hit it deals 4d6 cold damage. This attack also benefits from your sneak attack dice when appropriate., however, your sneak attack can still only trigger once per round (you cannot roll sneak attack damage for both yourself and the clone in one round). You may also choose to switch places with the duplicate as part of the same bonus action, provided you are both in an area of dim light or darkness.
