Druid
Base Class: Druid

Druids who belong to the Circle Of Acquisition adore nature not for its balance in the world, but in its ability to adapt to any circumstance it finds itself in, much like the humanoid societies surrounding it. That's why druids of this circle have opted to use their druidic abilities to change their bodies to copy the abilities of the creatures around them. Druids of this circle are often seen contributing to scientific knowledge around the world. Members of this circle sometimes become adventurers so that they can enhance their own fighting abilities by copying the abilities of the monsters around them.

Druidic Versatility

Your understanding of genetics and the powers of the monsters before you has granted you an ability to copy a monsters power and use it as if it were your own. As an action, you can examine the turn of one creature you can see within 30 feet of you with a Wisdom (Perception) check with a DC of 10 plus half of the creatures Challenge Rating (Minimum of 1) to add an ability that they use as a subclass feature. You can also copy an attack from that creature, though you must consume 2 uses of Wild Shape to use an attack you copied. You get one subclass feature at level 2, 6, 10, and 14. An ability or attack cannot be copied from a Humanoid, Construct, Dragon, Undead, or Fiend. An ability also cannot be copied from another player character's race, subclass, or class features. The creature must also be within the CR range of half of your druid level in order to be copied from.

Any copied effect that requires an enemy to roll a saving throw uses your Druid saving throw DC.

You cannot copy a creature's multiattack ability, any ability or attack that can only be used a few times per day, a creature's resistances, a creature's legendary action, a creature's lair action, a creature's regional effect, and a creature's spellcasting. You also cannot copy an ability or attack you already know.

You can change any creature ability you copied with an ability you've copied from another creature, and at level 6, you can change a copied ability or attack after completing a short rest.
