Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Few have survived an encounter with these warriors of legend, but those that have often never step foot on a battlefield again. Witnessing someone tearing through foes with their bare hands like paper, deflecting all challengers to their might and walking through fire and blood like it means nothing to them can really change a person. After all, how could they compare to the walking wave of destruction that those on the Path of the Iron Fist become?

Blackest of Blacksmiths

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you have experience with crafting thick plates of metal, using them to batter your foes and deflect attacks. You gain proficiency with Smith's Tools and heavy armor.

Iron Fist

Also at 3rd level, you can use your armor and your body as a weapon of mass destruction, using gauntleted hands and unbridled rage to tear your enemies apart. You can use your Rage and Fast Movement while wearing heavy armor. While wearing heavy armor, you can use your metal-clad fists as iron clubs, dealing 1d4 + your Strength modifier bludgeoning damage. This attack does count as an unarmed strike.

The damage if this ability increases to 1d6 at 4th level, 1d8 at 11th level, and 1d12 at 18th level.

In addition, when you take the Dash action, you can make an Iron Fist attack as a part of that action.

Living Arsenal

At 6th level, you learn to move your hands in specific ways when striking, turning your bludgeons into blades. When you make an Iron Fist attack, you can choose for the damage to be bludgeoning, piercing or slashing.

In addition, while raging, your Iron Fist attacks count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage, and deal double damage to objects and structures.

Shield Golem

At 10th level, your overwhelming presence in combat can make others wary of attacking your allies, afraid of incurring your wrath. Allies within 5 feet of you gain a bonus to their AC equal to your Constitution modifier.

In addition, your armor begins to become infected with your fury, bonding to you and enhancing your defences. While raging, you have resistance to all damage except psychic damage, and your armor cannot be removed against your will.

Path of Devastation

At 14th level, your towering might is a terror to behold, tearing through the battlefield and your foes like an arrow through the air. Your movement no longer provokes opportunity attacks, and you can take the Dash action as a bonus action.

In addition, your resilience is nothing less than supernatural, your body unaging and always ready for war. While wearing heavy armor, you gain the following benefits:

  • You do not age, and are immune to magical ageing effects.
  • You do not need to eat, sleep or breathe.
  • You cannot be magically put to sleep.
  • You are immune to Exhaustion and being knocked Unconscious.
  • You are immune to poison damage and the Poisoned condition.
