Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

You were touched by cosmic bodies, blessed, or else cursed, with the immeasurable depths of their enigmatic ways. Your mind and body was changed by abyssal energy radiating off of a dark star or some extraterrestrial creature. Either way, you’ve able to feel the very stars dancing within your flesh. Gravity feels lighter upon your steps. The rotation of the planet seems all too slow from your eyes and the world much smaller than it should. In one way or another these cosmic entities have opened your mind to endless possibilities unbound by material form. The natural forces that maintain balance of the world are now at your beck and call.

Void Touched

Being touched by cosmic bodies has given you a preternatural connection to spatial augmentation. You may choose how this alteration manifests on your corporeal flesh

Cosmic Alteration
d6 Alteration
  1. Your skin is speckled with light freckles that seem to move, blink in and out of existence, and can even, on occasion, be seen shooting from one part of your body to another.
  2. Your eyes are consumed with an inky blackness similar to a completely starless night sky.
  3. Your hair rises and moves on its own in accordance with your position compared to the moon: becoming docile and hardly moving during the day to dancing wildly and becoming erratic during night, especially so on a full moon.
  4. Your fingers are stained black and, when touched, feel ice cold while not appearing to feel like much of anything despite being solid.
  5. There is a mass of light that glows with warm light around where your heart should be.
  6. A length of skin on your body is completely replaced with a stretch of what appears to be a night sky full of stars.

When your Spellcasting feature lets you learn a sorcerer cantrip or a sorcerer spell of 1st level or higher, you can choose the new spell from the Dunamancy/Graviturgy spell list or the sorcerer spell list. You must otherwise obey all the restrictions for selecting the spell, and it becomes a sorcerer spell for you.

Abyssal Watcher

Starting at 1st level, you gain darkvision of 60 ft if you do not already have it, and any existing darkvision you do have becomes doubled. You learn to speak abyssal, or another language of your choice if you already speak it. As an action, you shroud your head with a film of the void for 1 hour, allowing you to see through magical darkness in shades of gray. During this time you do not need to breathe. This feature can be used a number of times per day equal to your Charisma modifier.

Spatial Rend

At 6th level, you begin to see tangible breaks in the space around you. With an action, you can spend 3 sorcery points to open two such rifts within 30 feet of each other, at a range of 60 feet from your position, that allow for instantaneous travel between them. You need to be able to see both positions when you first open them but the rifts last for 1 minute, regardless of your line of sight, once opened.

Cosmic Binding

Beginning at 14th level, you can veil yourself with a sheet of space ripped from the night sky, assuming a starry incorporeal form. As an action, you can spend 3 sorcery points to magically transform yourself for 10 minutes. While you are in this state you gain the following benefits:

  • Weapon attacks made with non-magical weapons have disadvantage to hit you.
  • When you are in darkness you can choose to either become invisible or gain an aura of bright light that spans 30 feet and an additional 30 feet of dim light. Choosing to become invisible in this way will last until you use your action to cast a spell or make a weapon attack.
  • You gain a flight speed equal to your movement speed, can move through cracks as small as an inch in walls and surfaces, and can end your turns on a space that another creature is also occupying. When doing so you suffer 1d6 force damage that cannot be reduced in any way.
  • When you deal damage with a spell you add an additional 1d8 of radiant damage to the total.

Vacuous Rift

At 18th level, your connection to the vastness of the cosmos extends to being able to call upon death to the very stars themselves. As an action, you can spend 5 sorcery points to summon a small black hole, localized on a point you can see within 120 feet, that drags all creatures within 30 feet into the center for 1 minute or until the sphere is detonated or you lose concentration on it. During this time any creature inside of the sphere must succeed Strength Saving Throws against your Spellcasting DC or suspend their movement action and move 5 feet toward the center of the sphere. If a creature succeeds they may move freely in the space as if it was difficult terrain. For every round that passes, the sphere will deal an additional 2d8 force damage when it detonates. The sphere's detonation can be triggered as an action on your turn or automatically when the full minute is up. If your concentration is interrupted the black hole collapses on itself, dealing half of the accumulated damage immediately.
