Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

All Sorcerers possess an innate ability to manipulate the structure and flow of the Weave that permeates the world around them. The difference between Sorcerers, put simply, is how this ability is stored within them, what direction they can manipulate the Weave in, and what techniques (if any) they employ to control their power. In this way, a small number have set themselves apart.

The magic of these Sorcerers is a well of energy that actively flows through their body, and they learn to expel it to achieve enhanced physical power. Additionally, they undergo rigorous training to get the most out of the bodies they have, making them above-average hand-to-hand warriors when they don't cast spells, and truly formidable ones when they do. For achieving this synergy, this archetype of Sorcerer has been dubbed the Paragon.

Wear The Weave

At 1st level, you gain the ability to don the weave itself when you enter battle. If you are not wearing medium or heavy armor or wielding a shield, then you can fabricate a cloak out of pure weave strands as a bonus action. For one minute, you gain the following benefits:

  • You gain a bonus to your AC equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of +1).
  • Your unarmed strikes deal force damage, and they use a d4. This damage increases to a d6 at 6th level, and a d8 at 14th level.
  • You can use Charisma for the attack and damage rolls you make with your unarmed strikes.
  • Your movement speed increases by 10 feet.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.

Extra Attack

Beginning at 6th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.

Divergent Impact

Furthermore, at 6th level, you learn to release your magic with your blows, timing it in such a way to enhance their impact. If you’re under the effects of Wear The Weave and you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you can expend an amount of sorcery points to deal extra force damage to that creature. The damage is increases by 1d8 for each sorcery point spent, to a maximum of 5d8. The maximum amount of sorcery points you can spend in this way on a turn is equal to your proficiency bonus.

Spell Storing Palm

At 14th level, you are able to store a spell attack into your hand as you deliver a strike. Once per turn, when you make a spell attack against a target, you can make the attack with your unarmed strike instead, provided you can reach. If the attack hits, the target takes the normal unarmed strike’s damage and suffers the effects of the spell attack.

Resilient Magic

At 18th level, your infusion with the Weave bolsters your durability. When you are under the effects of Wear The Weave, you have advantage on Constitution saving throws made to retain concentration on a spell. Furthermore, while concentrating on a spell, you have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.
