Base Class: Sorcerer
Your innate magic comes from the ability to see that the world around you is not truly real and has been manufactured by higher beings. This understanding allows you to bend reality to your will in ways that appear to violate the rules of your world.
[Coo, coo. You've heard of meta-magic... well get ready for meta-gaming! Coo, coo.]
Speak Beyond Self
Upon discovering the fiction of your reality, you discover new forms of communication that extend beyond your plane of existence.
You can speak telepathically to any other adventurer within your party as a free action, regardless of distance. You may also speak with projections of any other creature that you have already communicated with, though the projections contain no knowledge beyond what you have already been told. Any creature you speak to may respond as a free action as well.
[Coo, coo. You can coordinate with other players and ask the DM about past NPC interactions outside of roleplay. Coo, coo.]
Lie to Reality
Your understanding about the true nature of reality has given you the ability to lie to its creators, changing the state of the world in small ways.
After any roll, you can spend 3 sorcery points to use this ability. Make a DC 15 Deception check. On a failure, do nothing. On a success, you may turn the die to an adjacent face. Play continues as if the number currently displayed on the die was rolled originally.
You cannot lie to reality to alter a roll attempting to lie to reality.
This feature can be used a maximum of your Charisma modifier - 2 (minimum of 1) times per long rest.
[Coo, coo. You can fudge your dice roll... IF you pass a Deception check against the DM. Coo, coo.]
Otherworldly Recollection
Your understanding has grown so much that it now extends beyond your world, enabling you to recall information that is known only by your creators.
As an action, you can spend a sorcery point to learn something previously unknown about a creature or object of your choice, at the DM's discretion. For an additional 2 sorcery points, you can specify what exactly you want to learn, such as the immunities, resistances, and vulnerabilities of a monster, the allegiance of an NPC, or the origin of a magic item.
[Coo, coo. You can ask the DM about something and give your character knowledge that it wouldn't make sense for them to have. Coo, coo.]
Ability Inversion
Your connection to the true reality has grown so strong that you can precisely manipulate aspects of your own abilities, trading weakness in one area for strength in another.
Once per long rest as a bonus action, swap two numbers on your character sheet. The stat that was buffed lasts for one turn before reverting back to its original value. The stat that was debuffed will increase by 1 (or 1/10 of the original debuff, whichever is larger) every long rest until it returns to its original value. The only way to restore the stat more quickly is with a Wish spell. The debuffed stat can not be swapped again until it returns to its original value.
[Coo, coo. You can turn Dungeons and Dragons into a math puzzle! This is truly the way the game was meant to be played. Coo, coo.]
