Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Paladins who swear the Oath of the Flame dedicate themselves to embodying the essence of fire in all its aspects—its purity, its transformative power, and its role as both a source of light and a force of destruction. These paladins view themselves as protectors of the sacred flames, defenders against darkness, and purifiers of corruption. Their fervor is akin to a blazing inferno, burning with the passion to dispel evil and illuminate the path of righteousness.

*Tenets:*
1. **Embrace the Inner Fire:** Embody the virtues of fire—purity, passion, and transformation. Allow the flames within to kindle your resolve and guide your actions, illuminating the path of justice for all.

2. **Protect the Sacred:** Safeguard the sanctity of holy fires, be they literal or symbolic. Defend places of worship, knowledge, and enlightenment from desecration and corruption.

3. **Purge the Darkness:** Seek out and confront the shadows that threaten to snuff out the light of goodness. Let your flames purify evil, leaving only the ashes of malevolence in its wake.

4. **Temper Your Zeal:** While fire is a potent force, wield it with wisdom and restraint. Avoid being consumed by uncontrolled fury, for an untempered flame can scorch the innocent as easily as the wicked.

Adherents of the Oath of the Flame view their commitment as a sacred duty, believing that through their actions, the brilliance of their inner fire can purify the world from darkness and illuminate the path towards justice and righteousness.

Duality of Fire

As an action, you can use your Channel Divinity to evoke the Duality of Fire. Choose two creatures within 30 feet of you. A radiant aura in the shape of a fiery circle engulfs both creatures. Any hostile creature within the aura when it appears must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, they take radiant damage equal to 2d10 + your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1), or half as much on a successful save. Additionally, undead and fiends affected by this ability have disadvantage on attack rolls against you until the end of your next turn. Furthermore, any friendly creature within the aura when it appears gains temporary hit points equal to your Paladin level + Charisma modifier (minimum of 1).

Aura of Smoldering Ash

At 7th level, the Paladin of the Oath of the Flame can emanate an Aura of Smoldering Ash. The air surrounding the Paladin becomes suffused with swirling ash, smoky embers, and intense heat, extending to a range of 10 feet. Any hostile creature ending its turn within this aura must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the target becomes Blinded for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the start of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

At 18th level, the aura extends to a range of 30ft.

Invigorating Flames

You've learned to turn the immolation of your enemies into the invigoration of your allies. When you deal fire or radiant damage to a creature, you can choose a creature that you can see within 30 feet. That creature regains hit points equal to 2d8+ your Charisma modifier.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Blazing Inferno

At 20th level, the Paladin of the Oath of the Flame becomes a vessel of unbridled fire, embodying the scorching fury of an unstoppable inferno. As a bonus action, the Paladin can unleash the Blazing Inferno, transforming themselves into a living beacon of fiery destruction and cleansing flames for 1 minute, gaming the following benefits.

• You become immune to fire damage.
• When a creature affected by your Aura of Smoldering Ash hits you, you may use your reaction to have that creature take fire or radiant damage equal to your Paladin level.
• As a bonus action, you may choose one creature within 30ft of you. They gain hit points equal to the amount of fire and radiant damage you dealt this turn.
