Base Class: Warlock
As a Warlock, you made a deal with the sentient Jack-o-Lantern, the spirit of Halloween, Jack, The Lantern. Jack feeds off of the fright of all that is sentient, so naturally, your deal makes you have to scare others to keep your power. Jack much prefers fear made naturally, so fear induced from spells like fear aren't going to satisfy him much. The best way to satisfy him is to use spells that change the environment instead of the victim's psyche.
Add an unlit candle to starting gear.
