Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

Among the many arcane contracts etched into the shadowy annals of forbidden lore, The Soul Renderer stands as an epitome of darkness, offering its initiates mastery over the elusive and enigmatic nature of souls. This unholy covenant grants practitioners the ability to manipulate souls, a power that dwells in the very essence of life and death itself. Those who dare to tread this sinister path unlock a repertoire of spells and abilities, delving deeper into the nefarious arts of soulcraft, a power both coveted and dreaded by practitioners of the dark arts.

Within the enigmatic world of eldritch pacts and otherworldly alliances, the Patron's Arsenal, a facet of The Soul Renderer, stands as an embodiment of divine favor and supernatural craftsmanship. Warlocks who have entered into this extraordinary bond hold the ability to summon a set of weapons, meticulously crafted by their patron's otherworldly hands, specifically designed to serve their needs. The Patron's Arsenal empowers a warlock with the exceptional ability to manifest weapons of exceptional quality. As an action, and even in the tranquility of non-combat moments, a warlock can invoke the aid of their patron, channeling the ethereal bond that ties them. This invocation results in the conjuration of a set of weapons, each meticulously crafted by their patron, uniquely suited to the warlock's strengths and the patron's sphere of influence. These weapons often bear an otherworldly aesthetic, reflecting the patron's essence. (Detailed Below). The Patron’s Arsenal disappears after a long rest, and must be resummoned.

Just a reminder to all, please ask your DM if this subclass is allowed within their world setting. I created this subclass for a world I have been creating for the past 19 years (since I uploaded this). It is meant to be a perfect within my world setting. Good luck on your adventures and have fun!

Soul Render's Vessel of Essence

Soul Renderer's Vessel of Essence

As a wielder of the arcane and a master of soul manipulation, you carry the Soul Renderer's Vessel of Essence, a mystical receptacle that captures the essence of those who meet their end by your hand. This receptacle takes on the form of a pin cushion. This enchanted vessel allows you to utilize the captured souls in two distinct ways:

Soul-Infused Recovery:
- You can expend a single stored soul to restore your vitality. Roll a 1d6 to determine the amount of health regained. Each soul spent in this manner offers a chance at rejuvenation.

Soulforged Resonance:
- For a more potent magical resurgence, you can harness the power of three stored souls to replenish a depleted spell slot or recharge your spell points. This profound connection with captured souls grants you the ability to regain your spellcasting capabilities in the heat of battle.

Usage Limits:
- The Soul Renderer's Vessel of Essence can be employed for these purposes up to a number of times equal to 2 times your proficiency bonus between long rests, ensuring you have the means to draw upon this well of power as needed.

Soulthread Spear

Soulthread Spear

With a simple incantation, you conjure the Soulthread Spear, a weapon once wielded by the renowned Soul Renderer. This enchanted spear is crafted from the very essence of the afterlife, and it takes on the form of a colossal sewing needle when summoned. You are considered proficient with the Soulthread Spear.

Stats:
- Damage: 1d6/1d8 piercing
- Type: Melee
- Reach: 10 ft.
- Weight: 12 lbs.
- Properties: Versatile, Reach

Special Abilities:
- Soulbinding Touch: The Soulthread Spear has the potential to paralyze any humanoid creature, size large or smaller, upon a successful hit. On a natural 20, you briefly sever the soul from its body, dealing an additional 2d6 Force damage as the threads of fate unravel momentarily.

Spellcasting Focus:
The Soulthread Spear also functions as your spellcasting focus, allowing you to weave intricate spells and channel your magical energies through its ethereal needlepoint. However, the Soulthread Spear disappears after a long rest, returning to the realm of souls until called upon once more.

The Soulshard

The Soulshard

Through a swift invocation, you conjure a set of five Soulshard, each resembling a delicate sewing needle but bearing the deadly traits of darts. You wield these enchanted projectiles with unparalleled finesse, and you are considered proficient in their use.

Stats:
- Damage: 1d4 piercing
- Type: Ranged
- Range: 20 ft. / 60 ft.
- Weight: 0.20 lbs.
- Properties: Finesse, Thrown

Special Abilities:
- Soulbinding Precision: The Soulshards retain the potential to paralyze humanoid creatures, size large or smaller, on a successful hit. On a natural 20, you momentarily sever the soul from its body, dealing an additional 2d6 Force damage, as the victim's essence is disrupted.

- Pactforged Enhancement: Once per short rest, you possess the ability to infuse one of these needles with your Pact Magic. Doing so empowers it, causing it to deal an additional 2d6 Force damage when it finds its mark. This enhancement makes The Soulshards even deadlier in combat.

Soulforge Conjuration

Soulforge Conjuration

Upon reaching 6th level, your mastery over soul manipulation extends to the creation of a Soulforge Companion. This summoned soul takes on the form and characteristics of whatever entity you require, effectively crafting a secondary character-like presence to aid you in your endeavors.

Characteristics:
- Your Soulforge Companion may assume any race or class features that best serve your immediate needs. It is a versatile creation, adapting to the situation at hand.

Undead Essence:
- The Soulforge Companion is imbued with necrotic energy and is considered an undead entity.

Reborn Nature:
- For character sheet purposes, your Soulforge Companion is classified as "Reborn," reflecting its unique existence as a summoned and adaptive entity.

The Soulforge Conjuration allows you to call forth a versatile ally, tailored to your specific requirements, enhancing your capabilities in the magical world you inhabit. This conjuration will level up as you do, starting from 3rd level.

Souls True Resilience

Starting at 6th level, you gain resistance to Necrotic and Radiant and Immune to being Frightened and Charmed and are also immune to Magical Sleep.

Soul Standard

Starting at 10th level, you can combine your soul with an ally. By doing this, you both share a combined Hit Point. You anchor each other to life, meaning if either of you fall to 0 Hit Points, you go to 1 instead, and if either of the players die, their soul is trapped in the others' soul. You can only use this once per long rest. To separate the souls, player(s) must go on a long and arduous journey through the Soul Foundry, to separate and reclaim the player(s) soul.

Soul Severance

Starting at 14th level, you can attempt to sever the soul of a creature large or smaller. The creature must succeed a DC 22 Con save or have their soul severed from their body, doing 15d6 Force damage. On a successful save, the creature still takes half the damage.

Soul Wanderer's Redemption

In the event of your demise, the journey of your soul transcends mortal planes, finding itself in the purgatorial embrace of the Soul Forest, a limbo-esque dimension existing beyond the known realms. Here, your soul encounters a small adventure crafted by your Dungeon Master, presenting you with a chance to navigate through the trials of this mystical realm and ultimately secure your liberation.
