Way of the Empowered Soul

In the hands of a monk who has mastered the Way of the Empowered Soul, Ki becomes a versatile tool for enhancing strikes, defying damage, and even echoing the effects of spells. This discipline forges an unbreakable connection between the monk and the inner essence that drives them, allowing them to shape and direct their power in remarkable ways.

Empowered Touch

LVL 3

At 3rd level, as a practitioner of the Way of the Empowered Soul, you learn to infuse your strikes with the potent essence of your ki. For each odd number of Ki points you have, you gain a +1 bonus to your attack rolls. Additionally, for each even number of Ki points you have, your strikes become more devastating, allowing you to add +1 bonus to your damage when you make unarmed strike or use monk weapon.

Waiting Ki

LVL 3

Upon reaching 3rd level, your connection to the ebb and flow of combat allows you to recover your ki more swiftly. At the beginning of your turn during combat, if you did not take any action or bonus action on your previous turn, your disciplined focus replenishes your ki reserves. You regain an amount of Ki points equal to half your monk level, rounded down.

Shield of Ki

LVL 6

Upon attaining 6th level, your mastery over ki extends to protective measures. By expending Ki points, you can reinforce your defenses with a shimmering aura of energy. For every Ki point you invest in this protection, you gain 1 temporary AC (you lose those after 1 minute), you can do that as an action (you can spend max. 3 Ki points at once (you can however use this again in next action to get more AC, 1 minute duration is counting from last time you gained AC this way), (you can have maximaly 10 temporary AC at onece) . This protection does NOT negate effect of unarmored defense. 

Spell Mimic

LVL 11

As you progress to 11th level, your connection to the arcane energies becomes more refined. When a spell is cast, travels through, or affects an area within a 15-foot radius around you, you can harness your ki to replicate that spell's essence. By expending an amount of Ki points equal to the spell's level, you can recreate the same spell with identical properties as an action. Cantrips can be replicated without the expenditure of Ki points. You can only replicate the most recent spell within that radius, and only until the original caster of the spell is on turn again.

Emergency Ki Overload

LVL 17

Upon reaching the pinnacle of your training at 17th level, you master a technique that surges your ki beyond its usual limits in dire circumstances. If you find yourself at or below 20% of your maximum hit points, you instantly draw upon your inner strength. You gain a surge of Ki points equal to half of your Wisdom score (minimum of 5 points, rounded down), even if this exceeds your normal Ki point limit. You can spend some of these extra Ki points in that moment on additional HP (at a 1:1 ratio) or temporary AC (like to Shield of Ki). Any Ki points exceeding your normal limit are lost at the end of the battle. This feature can be used once per long rest.
