As your devotion to your draconic heritage grows, it causes physical traits of your dragon ancestors to emerge. At 1st level, your hit point maximum increases by 1 and increases by 1 again whenever you gain a level in this class.

Additionally, dragon scales matching your dragon ancestor's color over parts of your body. When you aren’t wearing armor, your AC equals 13 + your Dexterity modifier.

Starting at 2nd level you can now tap into your draconic blood to gain physical aspects of your draconic ancestor, transforming parts of your body into dragon form with great benefit.

You can change parts of yourself to dragon form as a bonus action. You may do this 3 times per short rest. You may transform additionally at the cost 2 sorcery points. You can stay partially transformed for a number of hours equal to half your sorcerer level (rounded down). You then revert to your normal form unless you expend another use of this feature.

Dragon's Tail - Spell Weapon Attack 1d6 + your Proficiency Bonus blunt damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 11 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone This damage increases by an additional d6 at level 5, 10, and 15.

Dragon's Hide - For the duration of the transformation get a bonus of +1 AC and resistance to the damage type associated with your draconic ancestor. The AC Bonus increases to +2 at level 5, +3 at level 10, and +4 at level 15

Dragon's Eyes - You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight. You gain 60' Darkvision. At class level 14, you gain Blindsight up to 30' and an addtional 60' of Darkvision.

Full Dragon Form

You have gained the power to transform into a full dragon. At class level 6 you may transform into a Path of the Dragon: Young Dragon of corresponding color to your draconic ancestor. At class level 14 you may transform into a Path of the Dragon: Adult Dragon of corresponding color to your draconic ancestor. And finally at level 20 you may transform into a Path of the Dragon: Ancient Dragon of corresponding color to your draconic ancestor. You may transform once per long rest or additionally for 4 sorcery points. You may remain in dragon for equal to half you sorcerer level in hours, rounded down.

While you are transformed, the following rules apply:

  • Your game statistics are replaced by the statistics of the dragon, but you retain your alignment, personality, and Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores. You also retain all of your skill and saving throw proficiencies, in addition to gaining those of the dragon. If the dragon has the same proficiency as you and the bonus in its stat block is higher than yours, use the dragon's bonus instead of yours.
  • When you transform, you assume the dragon's hit points and Hit Dice. When you revert to your normal form, you return to the number of hit points you had before you transformed. However, if you revert as a result of dropping to 0 hit points, you revert back to your normal form with 1 Hit Point.
  • You can’t cast spells. Transforming doesn’t break your concentration on a spell you’ve already cast, however, or prevent you from taking actions that are part of a spell, such as call lightning, that you’ve already cast.
  • You retain the benefit of any features from your class, race, or other source and can use them if your new form is physically capable of doing so. However, you can’t use any of your special senses, such as darkvision, unless your new form also has that sense.
  • You choose whether your equipment falls to the ground in your space, merges into your new form, or is worn by it. Worn equipment functions as normal, but the DM decides whether it is practical for the new form to wear a piece of equipment, based on the dragon's shape and size. Your equipment doesn’t change size or shape to match the new form, and any equipment that the new form can’t wear must either fall to the ground or merge with it. Equipment that merges with the form has no effect until you leave the form.

Improved Dragon Form

Your partial and total dragon transformation attacks count as magical for the purposes or overcoming resistances.

Draconic Casting

Beginning at 18th level, you can cast many of your sorcerer spells in dragon form. You can perform the somatic and verbal components of a sorcerer spell while in a dragon form, but you aren’t able to provide material components.
