Bard
Base Class: Bard

Bards of the College of Stone often called stone singers, have a deep understanding with the world beneath their feet. Using knowledge passed down from earthen creatures, these bards use lower frequency sound to captivate audiences through rolling chants and folk music.

Beneath Your Feet

When you join the College of Stone at 3rd level, you gain the ability to feel the vibrations within the ground you are standing on giving you 10 feet of tremorsense.

Language of the Earth

Also at 3rd level, through your studies with the chosen earthen creature you gain the ability to speak, read, and write Terran.

Rock and Stone

Also at 3rd level, you learn to cause tremors in stone through you limited knowledge and understanding of the Terran language. When a creature within 60 feet of you is attacked you can use your reaction to expend one use of your uses of Bardic Inspiration to choose a Rock and Stone option below. You can only use one option per reaction.

  • Rock Defence. Roll a bardic inspiration dice and add it to yours or another creatures AC as you pull rocks to protect against an attack.
  • Stone Slide. You can expend a bardic inspiration die to move a willing creature a number of feet up to 5 times your proficiency bonus as you cause the earth beneath them to move. A creature moved using this ability must remain on the ground and does not provoke attacks of opportunity.

Stone Self

At 6th level, you have learnt to mold the earth around you to create a layer that protects you. As a Bonus Action you can encase yourself in a layer of stone armor that lasts for a minute. This layer of stone gives you resistance to nonmagical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage. Once you use this feature, you can’t do so until you finish a long rest.

Stone Singing

Also at 6th level, your understanding of the Terran language has increase allowing you to communicate through natural rocks as if singing to the stone. This allows you to communicate with any creature that can speak Terran within 5 miles as you transmit your message using low frequencies through stones, below that which a normal creature could hear.

This ability can also be used to detect variations in the stone between two creatures, allowing them to locate veins of different types of minerals, gems and empty voids in the stone.

One with the Stone

At 14th level, you have become an extension of the earth itself from your mastery of the Terran language and your understanding of stone. This allows you to move through stone, both natural and worked. You can either enter or exit a stone surface once on your turn. While moving within stone you can see out to 30 feet with your tremorsense. While moving through stone you can only cast spells that affect stone, rocks or the earth. You are able to resist the crushing weight of the stone you are within for 3 turns. At the start of each turn after your third that you remain within stone you take 6d6 bludgeoning damage.

In addition, your tremorsense increases to 30 feet.
