Harness the mystical power of hexagonal barriers, shaping your destiny as the Aegis Bastion. From the foundational Hexagonal Warding to the pinnacle Aegis of the Singular Guardian, your abilities focus on protection, manipulation, and unleashing controlled devastation. Imbue your unarmed strikes with Mystic Fists, reshape barriers into deadly weapons with Hex Constructs, and defend allies with Hexshroud Safeguard. Navigate the battlefield with Arcane Traverse and create mystic sanctuaries with Allied Sanctuary. As an Aegis Bastion, you are the guardian of magical barriers, a force to be reckoned with on the front lines.

Hexagonal Warding

As a bonus action, summon an impenetrable hexagonal barrier, twice per long rest, measuring up to 10ft by 10ft and positioned within a maximum range of 60ft from you. Maintain only one active barrier at a time.  

Arcane Fortification (6th): Acquire the ability to sustain 2 active barriers simultaneously. The usage frequency increases to 3 times per long rest, rechargeable with 2 sorcery points.

Arcane Bastion (14th): Expertise allows sustaining 3 barriers simultaneously. The usage frequency improves to 4 times per long rest, and the maximum size of each barrier increases to 20ft by 20ft.

Arcane Citadel (18th): Attain the power to sustain 4 hexagonal barriers simultaneously, and you can use this ability up to 5 times per long rest. Additionally, at 18th level, Arcane Traverse allows you to move all summoned barriers as a bonus action instead of just 1 


 

  •  A barrier's HP equals to your sorcerer level x 2.
  • When a barrier is subjected to an attack, it absorbs the damage. If the damage surpasses the hit points of the barrier, the excess damage applies and the barrier dissipates.
  • A barrier Barrier lasts for 1 minute.
  • Arcane Dismissal: You can, as a bonus action, dismiss any or all active barriers.
  • Arcane Traverse: As a bonus action, you can relocate an active barrier within 60ft, provided it remains within 60ft of you.

Hexshroud Safeguard:
As a reaction, move an existing barrier or create a new one (as this reaction) to shield an ally from an attack within 30ft. Exceeding active barrier limits or usage numbers restricts this ability.

Aegis Manifestation

Mystic Warding: As a reaction, you can create a small hexagonal barrier as an aura, enhancing your AC by an amount equal to your Charisma modifier until the beginning of your next turn. Usable a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1) per long rest.

Mystic Fists: Infuse mystic energy into your unarmed strikes, conjuring hexagonal barriers around your fists. You gain proficiency with these 1d4 strikes and can utilize your Charisma modifier instead of Strength for both attack and damage rolls.

Hex Constructs

As a bonus action, within 60ft, you can harness the mystical energies within existing hexagonal barriers, shaping them into deadly weapons.

Aetheric Blade: 

Reshape one hexagonal barrier into a one-handed weapon.

  • You are proficient with weapons created by this ability, using your Charisma modifier for attack rolls.
  • The weapon remains effective for a number of attacks equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1).
  • Base damage: 1d8 + Charisma modifier.
  • Spend 1 sorcery point to transform it into a two-handed weapon, boosting the base damage to 2d8.

 

Aether Cannon:

Spend 4 sorcery points to transform a hexagonal barrier into a cannon, that targets enemies within 120 feet, dealing a potent single-target attack.

  • Base damage: 8d6, but if you use two barriers increases the damage to 12d6.
  • Targets make a Dexterity saving throw; success results in half damage.
  • The cannon must be fired in the turn it is created; otherwise, it vanishes at the start of your next turn, rendering it unusable.

Allied Sanctuary

As an action, you reshape a hexagonal barrier, within 60ft, into a mystic sanctuary, protecting yourself and allies within 30 feet, with a capacity for up to 5 allies, including you.

  • Each ally gains temporary hit points equal to 2d6 + your Charisma modifier.
  • Employing extra barriers during creation boosts temporary hit points by 1d6 per additional barrier, up to 3d6. All barriers needs to be within 60ft of you.
  • Use this protective ability once per long rest.
  • Regain this ability by spending 6 sorcery points.

Aegis of the Singular Guardian

As an action, you unleash the full might of your barrier magic, crafting an immense shield that envelops only you. Reshaping at least one existing barrier, within 60ft, is necessary, consuming all if more are present.

For 1 minute you gain the following:

  • Total immunity to all damage.
  • Advantage on all saving throws.
  • Wrath of the Singular Guardian: At the start of each turn, release a surge of magical energy in a 20-foot sphere centered on you. Creatures in the area must make a Dexterity saving throw against your magic save DC. On a failed save, they suffer damage equal to your Charisma modifier x the number of barriers consumed (minimum of 1) + your sorcerer level; on a successful save, they take half the damage.
  • In this state, you can't use spellcasting or class abilities.

After use, this ability requires a long rest before it can be activated again.
