Base Class: Bard
The College of Country is a group of bards that celebrates the rich traditions and heartfelt melodies of rural communities. Bards who follow this path are inspired by the sounds of banjos, fiddles, and acoustic guitars, and they use their music to tell stories of love, loss, and the simple joys of everyday life. These bards are often found in small towns and villages, where they entertain locals with their folksy tunes and enchanting ballads. The College of Country bards are masters of creating an authentic and down-to-earth atmosphere through their performances, transporting listeners to a world of rolling hills, open fields, and the warmth of a community united by music.
Bardic Charm
Starting at 3rd level, when your party members take a short rest, you can play a classic piece of country music. Make a performance check (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your charisma modifier). On a success, the party heals additional hit-points equal to twice your bard level. You may only use this feature once per long rest.
Bonus Proficiencies
You gain proficiency in two musical instruments and two skills.
Musical Resistance
Starting at 6th level, after finishing a long rest, you can add a d4 to your armour class. After each long rest, you must roll the d4 again.
Soothing Song of the West
By 14th level, you have perfected the art of country music. As an action, you can create a musical instrument in your hand. When you play it (as an action), you cause your party members that are within 30ft of you, (or yourself) to regain hit points equal to your hit die, and as many hit die equal to your proficiency bonus. You may only use this feature once per long rest.
