You have struck a pact with a strange creature indeed. Most Oozes lack the intelligence to make offers to those seeking power, but you have stumbled across one of remarkable intelligence. These can be either Oblexes of remarkable age, or oozes who have awakened through exposure to high magics from experimenting mages or planar rifts. These oozes offer strength by binding themselves with hosts, granting strength and durability, while allowing them to feed on their hosts’ victims.

Symbiotic Split

Starting at 1st Level you can split part of your patron off to support you in battle. As a bonus action you may summon a Symbiote from your body. The Symbiote appears in an unoccupied space of your choice that you can see within 30 feet of you.

The Symbiote is friendly to you and your companions and obeys your commands. See this creature's game statistics in the Symbiote stat block, which uses your proficiency bonus (PB) in several places. You can shape the Symbiote to take on an appearance of your choice, disguising it as either an animal or an inanimate object.

In combat, the Symbiote shares your initiative count, and takes its turn immediately after yours. The only action it takes on its turn is the Dodge action, unless you take a bonus action on your turn to command it to take another action. That action can be one in its stat block or some other action. If you are incapacitated, the Symbiote can take any action of its choice, not just Dodge.

The Symbiote manifests for 1 hour, until it is reduced to 0 hit points, or until you die. You can summon your Symbiote a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus, and all summons replenish on a short or long rest.

Amorphous: The Symbiote can move through a gap of 1 inch without squeezing


Spiderclimb: The Symbiote can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.

Actions

Pseudopod: Melee Attack, your attack modifier to hit. Hit: 1d6 bludgeoning damage + PB Acid Damage

Sticky Hold: The Pseudopod attempts to grab hold of an enemy. One target must make a DEX save against your spell save DC or take 1d6+PB Acid damage and be grappled

Gelatinous Physiology

At 6th Level your body becomes altered by the bonded Ooze. Both you and your Symbiote gain resistance to non-magical piercing, bludgeoning and slashing damage, and can roll with advantage to escape grapples. Additionally you can use an action to gain either the Amorphous or Spiderclimb ability for one hour.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it until you finish a short or long rest

Devouring Grasp

At 14th level you gain the ooze’s ability to devour your foes. When you or your symbiote hit a creature of Medium size or smaller with an attack on your turn, you may spend your reaction to attempt to engulf the creature. The target must make a Dexterity saving throw against your Spell DC or be restrained, blinded and deafened, and take 5d8 acid damage at the start of each turn. The creature may spend its action to attempt to escape, making a Strength save against your Spell DC.

If the engulfed creature is reduced to 0 hit points, the Ooze devours it, leaving no corpse behind, and granting you temporary hit points equal to the Creature’s CR plus your warlock level.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it until you finish a short or long rest.

Symbiotic Double

At 10th level your Symbiote grows in power and can copy you more accurately. Your Symbiote may now be of a Medium size, and can shape itself into a perfect copy of you. You can now cast spells as if you were in the Symbiote’s space, but you must use your own senses. Additionally while you and your Symbiote are within 5 feet if eachother, enemies have disadvantage attacking you because of the Symbiote’s eerie similarity. Enemies with Tremorsense and Truesight are not affected by this ability.

At 1st level, the Awakened Ooze lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.
