At the heart of the magical arts lies a profound connection between wizards and their familiars. The Arcane Bondmaster is a master of forging and manipulating this connection, drawing upon the power of their familiar to enhance their magical abilities.

Familial bond

Beginning when you select this school at 2nd level, you gain a pet that lives on your shoulder or in your pocket, depending on the pet you gain the following benefits. The pet has 1 hitpoint but is immune to all damage as long as you are alive. The pet may not move more than 15 feet away from you and has a movement speed of 10 feet, the animal takes its turn with you in combat and you may use your bonus action for the pet to take the health action. All of the pets have an implicit bonus granted at 2nd level, an improved effect at 6th and another improvement at 14

this magically created creature can be transformed into another one on this list at the end of any long rest.

Badger

You gain a +1 Bonus to your AC 

Owl

You gain Darkvision 120ft, Blindsight 90ft and truesight 60ft

Beetle

You gain advantage on all stealth checks and are immune to the surprised condition.

Squirrel

You gain advantage on all insight and investigation checks 

Rat

All spells you cast that require material components require half the gold worth of material components.

Bonus expertise

Beginning at 2nd level, You have an affinity for animals You gain expertise in the animal handling skill.

Further Enhanced pet

Starting at 6th level, Your pets provide you additional benefits depending on the pet

Badger

You gain advantage on all constitution checks and saving throws

Owl

 you may take a short rest in just 45 minutes

Beetle

You have resistance to radiant and force damage

Squirrel

Your spells cannot be counterspelled

Rat

 You have advantage on attack rolls with spells against creatures within 10 feet of your allies

Casting via an Agent

Beginning at 10th level, when you cast a spell with a range of touch you can cast it on any creature that your pet is touching, additionally your pet can now move up to 30 feet away from you

Superior pet

Starting at 14th level, your pets have grown far more powerful granting you the following benefits

Badger

You gain a +2 to all saving throws

Owl

All of your ranged spell attacks have an extra range of 10 feet

Beetle

you cannot be moved against your will by magical effects

Squirrel

any roll on an intelligence or wisdom based skill check you may reroll all rolls under 7

Rat

Reroll all ones on the damage dice of spells
