Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

While most assassins, spies, or thieves use their physical capability and wit to get to their targets, Phaser changes the reality itself to achieve his goals. Thanks to this quality they are often hired to gather information, or less clean business without often having to go through the risk of getting caught.

Phasers are however hard to come by because of the uncertainty of the process in which their power is acquired. Their abilities might have come from exposure to edges of rifts leading to other planes, teleportation or transformation spells gone very wrong or other yet unknown causes. It is almost impossible to meet a shifter and ever rarer to find one who intended to gain his powers.

Rift Traveler

Your body is charged with interplanar energy. You gain Rift Traveler charges that power your other abilities. The amount of charges is equal to twice your proficiency bonus. You regain all charges when you finish a long rest.

Warp Attack

Starting at 3rd level, you can bend the world around you to attack in ways hard to comprehend. As an action you can you can expend one charge of your Rift Traveler to teleport up to 20 feet. Any creature of your choice between the spots of your departure and arrival must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Dexterity modifier). If the save fails, the target takes force damage equal to the roll of your Sneak Attack. On a successful save they take half damage.

Anomalous Distance

Also at 3rd level, you can expend one chage of your Rift Traveler to move additional 5 feet in any direction. This movement doesn’t count towards your movement speed used. Number of feet you can move in this way increases by 5 feet when you reach 7th, 13th and 19th level in this class.

Malleable Face

At 9th level, you can twist your physique to resemble other creatures. As a bonus action, you can change your appearance and your voice. You determine the specifics of the changes, including your coloration, hair length, and sex. You can also adjust your height and weight, but not so much that your size changes. You can make yourself appear as a member of another race, though none of your game statistics change. You can't duplicate the appearance of a creature you've never seen, and you must adopt a form that has the same basic arrangement of limbs that you have. Your gear melds into the new form. You can stay in your new shape for an hour or until you end it as a bonus action.

You can also create a distinct appearance when you use this feature.

You can use this ability once per short rest, for further uses, you must expend 2 charges of your Rift Traveler.

Phase Out

At 13th level, you can move through space unseen. As an action you can enter the border of Ethereal Plane for one hour. During this time, you can move in any direction. If you move up or down, every foot of movement costs an extra foot. You can see and hear the plane you originated from, but everything there looks gray, and you can't see anything more than 60 feet away.

When the duration ends, you immediately return to the plane you originated from in the spot you currently occupy. If you occupy the same spot as a solid object or creature when this happens, you are immediately shunted to the nearest unoccupied space that you can occupy and take force damage equal to twice the number of feet you are moved.

Once you use this feature you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest, unless you expend 5 charges of your Rift Traveler.

Rending Rift

At 17th level, you channel some of your own nature through your blow, temporarily warping your target's form. At the end of your turn you can cause one creature that was dealt your Sneak Attack damage this turn to take 3d10 force damage and have disadvantage on all attack rolls, saving throws and ability checks for 1 minute as their form keeps altering. At the end of each of their turns the target can make a Constitution saving throw (DC equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Dexterity modifier), ending the effect on itself on a success.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
