Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

The world is a canvas, and the Chromascribe wields the brush of magic, painting reality with flowing strokes of enchantment. These sorcerers are artists of the arcane, bringing their imagination to life through the vibrant colors and intricate details of their innate magical abilities. Whether crafting protective wards, summoning illusions that dance across the canvas, or infusing paintings with pulsating magical energy, Chromascribes turn visual arts into a conduit for otherworldly power. Unlike bards, Chromascribe sorcerors don't need a conduit or magical focus, rather all they need is their imagination, drive, and passion.

Colorful Insight

At 1st level, your connection to the world of visual arts grants you proficiency in one artisan's tool of your choice related to painting or illustration. Moreover, you gain advantage on Intelligence (Investigation) checks when examining intricate details or patterns, a skill honed through your artistic perception.

Canvas of Enchantment

Starting at 1st level, you can channel your magical abilities into the paintings you create. Choose one of the following enchantments:

  • Vivid Warding: Your artwork becomes a protective ward. Creatures within 10 feet of your artwork gain a bonus to their AC equal to your Charisma modifier.

  • Illusory Mirage: Your paintings come to life, creating illusory duplicates of the scene depicted. You can cast the silent image cantrip at will, but the illusion must be related to the subject of your artwork.

  • Chromatic Infusion: Your paintings exude magical energy. When a creature within 10 feet of your artwork takes damage, you can use your reaction to grant them resistance to that damage type until the start of your next turn.

You can change the chosen effect after finishing a long rest. The magical effect lasts for 24 hours, after which the magic dissipates, and you can infuse a new piece of art.

Magnum Opus

Magnum Opus At the 14th level, your paintings become gateways to realms of pure enchantment. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.

The Eternal Canvas

The Chromascribe can manipulate the very fabric of reality with a single brushstroke.
