Bard
Base Class: Bard

Bards who Graduated from the College of Elegy are kindred spirits whom treat those who have passed with utmost respect, treating them to tales, arts or songs they've made, helping them through their death or undeath.

Expanded spell list

When you join the College of Elegy at 3rd level, you immediately learn the Spare the dying and Toll the dead cantrips.

This subclass you can also gain access to the following spells:

2nd Ray of Enfeeblement, Gentle Repose
3rd Animate Dead, Summon Undead
4th Spirit of Death, Shadow Of Moil
5th Danse Macabre, Negative Energy Flood
6th Create Undead, Magic Jar

Post Mortem Inspiration

When you join the College of Elegy at 3rd level, whenever an ally uses Magical Inspiration the extra damage dealt is necrotic, and both you and your ally gain temp hp equal to half of the additional damage dealt with the magical inspiration (minimum 1).

Song of Return

At 6th level, you gain the ability to protect your allies from death. If your unconscious ally has unspent Bardic Inspiration on the turn after they fail their 3rd death saving throw, they can choose to raise from the dead using the Bardic Inspiration roll. When they rise, they roll the Bardic Inspiration dice; the number rolled is their current HP, and their max HP is also reduced by the number rolled. The HP is reduced until True Resurrection is cast on them. The raised ally is now considered an undead (any effects that apply to undead effects them), and they gain vulnerability to radiant damage. This vulnerability persists until a revival spell is cast on them.

Undead influence

At 6th level, your empathy for those who have passed travels the land, gaining you fame among those who aren't with us anymore. You have an advantage on any Charisma check with undead. This feature excludes vampires.

You can also roll a charisma check to charm the undead. The DC for it equals the Monsters CR+Their WIS save. This feature cannot benefit from advantages or Bardic Inspiration.

Lamentful Motif

At 14th level, the undead celebrate you. All undead allied to you gain a temporary HP equal to twice your proficiency bonus on their first turn on the field. This does not affect undead who changed allegiance mid-battle or have higher temporary HP from other sources.
