Bard
Base Class: Bard

There are so many great bardic colleges out there - yet, you chose none of them. You may have given up on academic pursuits, or left your studies to focus on other things, but one thing is certain: you are not less capable than your former college peers. You just took another approach.

Last Minute Study

At 3rd level, you unfortunately are an expert at leaving your studies for the last minute.

When you finish a long rest, you can choose to change your expertise skill proficiencies with other skill proficiencies that are available to you. If you use this feature on consecutive long rests, you gain 1 level of Exhaustion at the end of that rest.

A Bit of Everything

Also at 3rd level, your experiences in the various bardic colleges gave you a broad set of skills.

You can use the abilities that you think you remember learning from other bard colleges. You know two such abilities at 3rd level, and you can choose an additional ability when you reach 6th and 14th level.

Amateur Mediumship (College of Spirits)

You can cast the Augury spell as a ritual.

As a bonus action, you can choose to expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration, and roll on the Spirit Tales table for that subclass, using your Bardic Inspiration die to determine the tale the spirits direct you to tell. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.

Blend In (College of Whispers)

As a bonus action, you can use the Hide action.

Whenever you deal poison damage to a creature, you can choose to increase the damage you deal - you can expend and roll one Bardic Inspiration die (no action required), dealing extra poison damage equal to the number you roll to the target.

Fight or Flight (College of Valor)

Whenever you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can use a bonus action to take the Disengage action.

Flawed Creation (College of Creation)

As an action, you can create one nonmagical item of your choice that you know from memory, can fit into your hand, and has a value of less than 20 gp. The item glimmers intensively, and a creature can faintly hear a distorted song when touching it. The item you create disappears after ten minutes. You can use this feature twice, and you regain any expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Frightening Performance (College of Glamour)

As a bonus action, you can expend a single use of your Bardic Inspiration to perform a horribly off-key tune to a Humanoid creature that can hear you within 60 ft. of you.

The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC, or be Frightened of you until the start of your next turn. While frightened in this way, the first attack roll, ability check, or saving throw it makes has a penalty to its roll equal to one roll of your Bardic Inspiration die.

Hardly Miserable (College of Tragedy)

Whenever you or an ally within 30 ft. of you rolls a 20 on the d20 for an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, you gain a number of temporary hit points equal to 5 + half your bard level (rounding down).

Indecisive Caster (College of Lore)

As a bonus action, you can replace a single 1st level spell you know with another 1st level spell from the Bard spell list.

Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.

Near Slip Up (College of Eloquence)

When you make a Charisma (Persuasion or Deception) check, and you roll a 1 on the d20, you can choose to roll that check again, and must use the new roll.

Pointy End (College of Swords)

Whenever you cast a spell of 1st level or higher using your action, you can make a single weapon attack as a bonus action.

You can make this special attack a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and regain any expending uses when you finish a long rest.

Passing Grade

At 6th level, you use the least amount of effort possible to barely scrape by a situation.

Whenever you perform an ability check or saving throw, and roll 10 or higher, but before you know the results of the roll, you can treat the d20 roll as if you rolled a 20.

Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.

Plagiarized Work

At 14th level, you can try and wrench the hard work of others for your own gain.

Whenever a creature you can see within 60 ft. of you casts a spell of a level you can cast, you can use your reaction to memorize that same spell. For 1 minute, you can cast that spell as if it were a Bard spell you know, using any spell slots you may have, as normal.

If you use this feature to gain a new spell while you already know one like this, the previously memorized spell is lost.
