Base Class: Warlock
The Faceless Men see death as a gift from the Many-Faced God to end human suffering: either to euthanize the sick or bereaved who can no longer stand the suffering of living, or as a "gift" to end the lives of those who are causing suffering to others. As a result, these assassins view themselves as Death's servants, strictly bound to His service. In their at times inscrutable beliefs, they feel that they are only helping to carry out Death's will, and cannot choose their own targets (for personal reasons, such as revenge): they can only target those whom death has selected - the targets of assassination contracts they have accepted. The Faceless Men practice extreme self-abnegation, each devotee believing that they are "no one", with no personal desires, and living only to serve the Many-Faced God.
Expanded Spell List
The Many-Faced God lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a Warlock spell. The following spells are added to the Warlock spell list for you.
Many-Faced God Expanded Spells
1st Silent Image, Zephyr Strike
2nd Alter Self, Blindness/Deafness
3rd Bestow Curse, Water Breathing
4th Death Ward, Greater Invisibility
5th Passwall, Seeming
Deadly Blessings
When you choose this patron at 1st level, you gain proficiency with hand crossbows, longswords, rapiers, scimitars, and shortswords.
Additionally, you gain the ability to afflict targets with a deadly poison when you strike them in combat. The first time each round you hit with a weapon attack, the target takes 1d6 poison damage and must make a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failure, the target is poisoned until the start of your next turn. Once a creature has been afflicted with this poison, it cannot be poisoned again until you finish a short rest.
This damage increases by 1d6 when you reach 5th level (2d6), 11th level (3d6), and 17th level (4d6).
Shadow's Blessings
The Many-Faced God has blessed you with an affinity for stealth. Starting at first level, you can use your bonus action to take the Hide action. If you attempt to hide in dim light or darkness, you do so with advantage.
Death's Favor
As a servant of Death, your own end is forestalled in order to carry out your work. Starting at 6th level, whenever you must make death saving throws, you have advantage on all death saving throws, and can reroll one death saving throw.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Grave Resilience
Starting at 10th level, you have resistance to necrotic and poison damage. If a source that would deal damage of either of these types requires you to make a saving throw, you have advantage on that save.
Death's Reaper
Starting at 14th level, when you hit a creature with an attack, it takes 8d8 necrotic damage in addition to the damage from the attack. This damage is not able to be healed except for a spell slot of 6th level or higher. If the target dies due to this feature, the Many-Faced God immediately claims their soul. Any method of resurrection or perseverance fails, except for Wish. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
