Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

A sense of deja vu washes over the elf as he steps into a forgotten tomb, unopened in millenia. The halfling laughs as she leaves the tavern, weighed down with winnings, almost as if she knew what everyone was going to draw. The merchant's smile does not trick the stranger who seems to already know the merchant's name... and his scam!

Some people begin delving into magic with the hopes of discovering some powerful spell that will let them change their lot in life. Some even seek the ability to change the world. But you sought something else: The ability to change your past. For whatever reason and through whatever means, you discovered how to communicate with your past self. And, by extension, your future self. Your past self and future self make an arrangement: Past you carries out the necessary tasks to assist future you, and future you lends power and knowledge to past you. Of course, you can't give too much away.

A more observant reader will perhaps acknowledge a major problem here: If past you obtained power from a future you that already had it, where did the power come from? Paradox! No one knows quite how chronomancy works, but it's safe to say that there may be some... complications...

Necessary Events

Your deal with your future self allows you brief glimpses of the future. Starting at 1st level when you choose this patron, when you finish a long rest roll two d20s and record the numbers rolled. You can replace any attack roll, saving throw, or ability check made by you or a creature that you can see with one of these foretelling rolls. You must choose to do so before the roll, and you can replace a roll in this way only once per turn
Each foretelling roll can be used only once. When you finish a long rest, you lose any unused foretelling rolls.

Malleable Timeline

Your very nature proves time is not nescessarily 'linear' or 'fixed'. A cause does not always lead to an effect. Starting at 6th level, when you or a creature within your line of sight would take damage or otherwise be affected by an action you may use your reaction to remove whatever damage or effect would have been caused. However, any resources used, spell slots expended, or environmental changes that have occured are still used as if the intended effect had happened.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.

Temporal Anomoly

Beginning at 10th level, you can call on your full chronomancy powers to gain an advantage in a desperate manipulation of the timeline.
Altering the timeline like this requires you to use your action. Describe the assistance you seek, and roll percentile dice. If you roll a number equal to or lower than your warlock level, a temporal anomoly occurs. The GM chooses the nature of the anomoly; the effect of any spell would be appropriate.
If you successfully manipulate time, you can't use this feature again for 7 days. Otherwise, you can use it again after you finish a long rest.
At 20th level, your attempts to control time succeed automatically, no roll required.

Time's Wounds

Time heals all wounds? Pfft!

Starting at 14th level, as an action you may select one target creature within 60ft of you that you can see. This creature must roll a Constitution Saving Throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, the creature takes damage equal to the difference between its current Hit Points and its Hit Point Maximum. It also gains any conditions, curses, and disadvantages it has gained in the current combat. On a successful save, nothing happens.

You may not use this feature again until you complete a Long Rest.
