Cleric
Base Class: Cleric

Most clerics swear their lives to the devotion and evangelism of a single god. Be it preparing the rites, administering the sacraments, or standing proud in battle with their holy symbol proudly emblazoned. And while the miko performs all of these duties themselves, they differ in that instead of venerating a single divine entity and serving as their representative on the Prime Material Plane, the miko elect to serve a numerous host of sacred spirits know collectively as the Kami. And while these kami are not gods in the traditional sense, they are still in fact the divine and sacred aspects of all things existing on the Prime plane, and as such require specialized servants of their own to mediate and intercede between themselves and the humans who venerate them. They prepare the rituals. They purify both people and sacred places. They appease the kami when mortals cannot. And in return, miko are granted a far more intimate connection to their divine patrons than many other clerics experience.

You’ve created a Toributsu as a part of your devotion to your shrine. It is a Tiny object and can serve as a spellcasting focus for your cleric spells. You determine its form by choosing from the list below. Each Toributsu has different attributes and effects.

If you lose the Toributsu or decide to switch its form, you can perform a 1-hour ceremony to magically create a replacement. This ceremony can be performed during a short or long rest, and it destroys the previous Toributsu.

Toributsu Options:

Bon

This Paper lantern lights up the area around you with 10ft of bright light and 10ft of dim light, and it pierces through magical darkness and heavily obscured areas. Additionally, you gain a +1 to your initiative and cannot be surprised while the lantern is lit.

Nusa

This Staff with paper ribbons gives a +1 bonus to your spell save DC. Additionally, when a creature succeeds a saving throw against one of your cantrips, they take half damage instead of no damage, unless they have evasion or a similar effect.

Ougi

These Folding fans allow you to be swifter, you gain +1 AC and 10ft to your walking speed. Additionally, when a creature enters melee range with you, you can use your reaction to move half of your movement speed without provoking opportunity attacks.

Suzu

This Golden bell calls the kami to your aid, you gain a +1 to skill checks. Additionally, you gain the guidance cantrip and it has a casting range of 30 ft when you cast it.

Tsue

This Bamboo wand gives a +1 bonus to spell attack rolls. Additionally, you gain access to one cantrip of your choice. This cantrip counts as a cleric cantrip for you.

Channel Divinity: Kagura

 2nd-level Shrine Domain feature

Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to perform a sacred dance.

As an action, you can begin to dance the Kagura dance, entreating the Kami to aid you in battle and performance. The dance lasts for one minute and ends if you become incapacitated. While your Kagura dance is active, you along with any creature of your choice within 30ft of you:

  • Gain a bonus to their Performance checks equal to your Wisdom modifier.
  • Gain advantage on charm and frighten saving throws.
  • Gain a 1d4 bonus to their attack rolls.
  • If they take damage from an area of effect spell or ability, your aura reduces the damage they take equal to your Wisdom modifier.

Omamori

6th-level Shrine Domain feature

A Shrine Domain cleric gains a number of Omamori equal to their Proficiency bonus after each long rest. These Omamori can be given out to anyone the Cleric Wishes to give it to. An Omamori can be used to reroll an attack roll, skill check, or saving throw, and the creature must use the new roll. When one is used, the Omamori is expended and is destroyed. Omamori can only be used by a single creature once per turn, however a creature can have multiple Omamori on their person.

Potent Spellcasting

8th-level Peace Domain feature

You add your Wisdom modifier to the damage you deal with any cleric cantrip.

Oracle of the Shrine

17th-level Shrine Domain feature

You have become a divine Oracle of your shrine. You can call upon the spirits to aid you further during the duration of your Kagura dance. As a bonus action, during your Kagura dance, you can choose to do one additional effect that can affect you or an ally within the Aura:

  • Give one creature Temporary Hit Points equal to 2d10 + Your Wisdom modifier
  • Remove a single condition on a creature: Paralyzed, Restrained, Charmed, Frightened, Stunned, Blinded, or Deafened.
