Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

Sorcerers born of the Paradoxical Bloodline are touched by the chaotic essence of time and space itself. Their magical abilities are fueled by the paradoxes that twist and turn the fabric of reality. These sorcerers find themselves torn between conflicting timelines and alternate realities, granting them a unique set of powers that can manipulate time and space.

Bonus Spellls

Paradox Spells

Starting at 1st level, you learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Paradox Spells table. Each of these spells counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn't count against the number of sorcerer spells you know. Dunamancy spells must be manually added to your spellbook if you're using Avrae.

Whenever you gain a sorcerer level, you can replace one spell you gained from this feature with another spell of the same level. The new spell must be a conjuration or an evocation spell from the sorcerer, warlock, or wizard spell list.

Temporal Flux

Starting at 1st level, you may cement a moment of time as reality. Once per turn when a creature targeted by you fails a saving throw from one of your sorcerer spells, that moment roots both you and that creature together in time. You now share the same singular reaction, and when one of you makes a reaction it is counted as that reaction. This effect lasts until one of you expends your reaction or at the beginning of the casters next turn.

Creatures with multiple reactions have two of their reactions used when under this effect if either of you expend a reaction.

Bloodline Crystalization

At 6th level, your connection to parallel timelines grants you a limited control of the time of which your metamagic occupies. Once per dawn you may create motes of metamagic, storing within a singular mote one metamagic option you know. You may create a number of motes up to or equal to your proficiency bonus, and each mote lasts for twenty-four hours. If at any time you go over the maximum number of motes, the last one created is destroyed.

The mote once created is a tiny object with 1 hp and 15 ac. When a creature possessing a mote casts a spell of a level up to your proficiency bonus, they may choose as a reaction to destroy the mote possessed and channel the metamagic option within for their casting. Using metamagic in this way still follows all regular rules for metamagic, including the amount of metamagic you may use on a singular spell.

Whilst a Mote of Metamagic exists, your maximum number of sorcery points is reduced by one point for each mote currently in existence. You do not regain sorcery points once a mote is expended.

Spatial Distortion

Starting at 14th level, you can quickly alter the weave of time to your advantage. As a reaction when a friendly creature within 30 feet of you is attacked, has a spell cast on it or at the end of their turn, you may command them to move up to half their movement speed in any direction of your choosing. This reaction cannot be made if the creature is incapacitated or has 0 speed.

Mystery Unraveled

At 18th level, you can briefly unravel the fabric of reality itself. As an action, you can manipulate time itself to force change. Select a number of willing creatures equal to your proficiency bonus modifier, and then roll 1d4.

Creatures under this effect may use their movement a number of times equal to the number rolled on their next turn. Additionally at the start of the next round, any creature under this effect may reroll their initiative score. Creatures who reroll their initiative score are not considered restarting combat, for the purpose of features that specify 'the first round of combat.' This feature may be used once per long rest.

Torn Threads

Torn Threads (Optional Flaw): Your connection to the paradoxical forces of time comes with a price. At the DM's discretion, you might have moments of temporal instability. Roll a d20 at the start of your turn. On a 1, you experience a moment of disorientation, causing you to fall under the effects of a slow spell that turn as you navigate conflicting timelines.
