Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Those barbarians that follow the Path of Draconic Fury channel the might of dragons in battle. They become imbued with dragon's blood in the form of enchanted tattoos which grant them abilities similar to those possessed by the dragon whose blood is used to mark them. These markings serve as the source of the barbarian's terrifying power, and glow furiously as they rage across the battlefield.

Dragonblood Markings

Choose a dragon type: black, blue, green, red, white, brass, bronze, copper, gold or silver. You become "baptized" in that type of dragon's blood, using it as ink to tattoo yourself. These tattoos can be as detailed or as simple as you want, but they stretch across your upper back and chest, as well as down your arms, and they match the color of the dragon. The damage type of the dragon you choose is used by some features you gain at later levels.

While raging, you have disadvantage on Stealth checks due to the glow of your dragonblood tattoos.

Channel Dragonbreath

You begin learning to channel the power of dragons through your tattoos. Starting at 3rd level, whenever you deal damage with a melee weapon attack while raging, you may add 1d4 of extra damage. The type of extra damage corresponds to the damage type of the dragon whose blood creates your markings, as shown in the Dragon Rage table.

Breath Weapon

Your ability to channel the powers of dragons continues to grow as you become more accustomed to your markings. Starting at 6th level, you learn to harness the power of the dragon's breath more directly. As an action on your turn, you may expend one of your hit dice to fire a breath attack of the type associated with your dragon type, as shown in the Dragon Rage table. All targets within the range of the breath attack make either a Constitution or Dexterity saving throw, as specified in the Dragon Rage table. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus. Roll your expended hit die for damage and add your Constitution modifier. If you are raging, you may add the bonus damage normally granted to your melee weapon attacks by your rage to the damage dealt by your breath attack. A creature takes full damage on a failed saving throw, or half as much on a successful one. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier, regaining spent uses and expended hit dice upon completing a long rest.

At level 10, you may expend up to two of your hit dice for your breath attack, rolling both for damage. At 14th level, you may expend up to three of your hit dice for your breath attack, rolling all three for damage. If you have multiple sizes of hit dice, such as through multiclassing, you may choose any size hit die to expend for this feature.

Dragonscale Armor

Starting at 10th level, you manifest the tough scales of a dragon when you rage. While you are raging, you gain a +3 bonus to your Unarmored Defense feature, making your Armor Class 13 + your Dexterity modifier + your Constitution modifier as long as you are not wearing armor. Additionally, while you are raging, you gain resistance to the damage type associated with your dragonblood tattoos.

Summon Draconic Spirit

At 14th level,  your draconic powers have reached their pinnacle, and you gain the power to call forth a spiritual facsimile of the dragon whose blood creates your tattoos. When you first enter a rage, you may Summon Draconic Spirit at 5th level immediately, using your tattoos in place of the material components needed for the spell. The spell does not require concentration, but ends immediately if your rage ends or if the dragon spirit drops to 0 hit points. The dragon's damage resistance and breath weapon attack are the same as your dragon type. Once you use this feature, you must complete a long rest before you can use it again.
