Base Class: Rogue
In the shadowy realms of darkness and deceit, some rogues delve into forbidden arts and practices to harness the power of the forbidden. The Sanguine Stalker is a rogue who has embraced the macabre art of cannibalism, drawing strength from the consumption of their fallen foes. This subclass combines stealth, cunning, and a taste for the forbidden to create a formidable and unsettling character.
Bloodthirsty Instincts
At 3rd level, you gain the ability to tap into the primal instincts that come with consuming the flesh of your fallen enemies. When you successfully land a Sneak Attack against a creature and reduce it to 0 hit points, you can use your reaction to consume a portion of its remains. This act restores hit points to you equal to your Rogue level and grants you advantage on your next Dexterity (Stealth) check.
Taste of Fear
Starting at 9th level, your consumption of the fallen grants you insights into their fears and weaknesses. You gain proficiency in Wisdom saving throws, and creatures that witness you consuming the remains of their allies must make a Wisdom saving throw against your Rogue spell save DC or be frightened for 1 minute.
Darkened Digestion
At 13th level, your body becomes attuned to the dark energies within the consumed flesh. You gain resistance to necrotic damage and advantage on saving throws against being frightened or charmed.
Ravenous Resurgence
Upon reaching 17th level, your mastery of the art of cannibalism reaches its pinnacle. When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points and consume its flesh using your Bloodthirsty Instincts feature, you regain one expended use of your Evasion, Uncanny Dodge, or Evasion features. Additionally, you can choose to expend hit dice to regain hit points equal to the roll + your Dexterity modifier.
