Base Class: Barbarian
For most barbarians, rage is all that consumes them. However this is not the case for those who follow the Path of the Balanced, whose with great wrath comes great kindness, whose great brutality comes with great caring, whose violence must be met with peace to ensure the purification of both body and soul. Those who walk this path are blessed with kindness, as much as they are with wrath.
Karma
Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, whenever an enemy hits you, you gain a stack of karma. You may have a number of stacks equal to your level, and may use a number of stacks equal to your proficiency bonus and constitution modifier. During your turn you may use one of the following features once per turn. You lose all stacks of Karma once the encounter is over.
Forgiveness: A character of your choice within 15ft of you including you may regain a number of hit points equal to 3 per karma stack expended. If you use this feature against an enemy that has attacked you, they must succeed a wisdom save with a DC of 8 + Karma stacks expended, or become charmed for 1d4 rounds.
Forgetfulness: A character of your choice has disadvantage on their next roll to maintain concentration, and gain a negative modifier for their next concentration equal to the amount of Karma stacks expended.
Retribution: On your next melee weapon attack, you gain a +1 to your damage roll with every karma stack expended. If the character has attacked you before hand, the bonus to damage is increased by +2 per karma stack expended.
Balanced Fury
Beginning at 6th level, you have advantage on wisdom and intelligence saving throws while raging, as your mind is sharpened. You also may make the dash and disengage action as a bonus action while raging.
Equalized Bloodshed
Starting at 10th level you may make a melee attack against as many enemies as you wish within reach of the melee weapon of your choice. You take force damage equal to half of the damage (rounded down) you deal, and may split the damage between you and willing allies within 60 ft of you. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
An Equal and Opposite Reaction
As a balanced warrior you near the pinnacle of equity. Starting at 14th level, while raging you can mark a creature and your soul, mind, and body start to act in such perfect tandem with it, that you mimic or mirror it's every motion. Whenever the marked creature takes an attack action you can use your reaction to either make a melee weapon attack against any creature within your melee reach or take guard, giving yourself a bonus to AC equal to your constitution modifier against the next attack targeted at you.
If the character uses it's movement, you may move the same number of feet it moved. This translates between movement types, for example, if it flew 30ft, you can walk 30ft. If the marked creature has a movement type unavailable to you (flying and burrowing), you gain that movement type until the death of the marked creature. This feature can be used once per long rest.
