Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

Your patron is a small fey-like thing.  It calls itself by many names, but you know it as the Contractor.  The Contractor has given you a neat little gemstone for yourself, and told you to take great care of it.

Expanded Spell List

Lv 1: Mage Armor, Shield

Lv 2: Blur, Mirror Image

Lv 3: Haste, Slow

Lv 4: Freedom of Movement, Stoneskin

Lv 5: Arcane Hand, Wall of Force

Token of Compliance

When you take this pact at 1st level, you get an Arcane Focus, even if you selected the option to roll for starting gold.  This particular spell focus, however, is actually a subtle phylactery with special limitations.

This Arcane Focus is a magical item that only you can use.  While you possess this Arcane Focus, you gain a lesser variation of a lich's rejuvenation ability.  Should you fail three death saves or otherwise die, the Arcane Focus casts Resurrection on you with a cast time of 1 week.

In addition, while not  wearing armor, you may add your Charisma modifier to your AC.

However, if you are separated from your Arcane Focus, you cannot rejuvenate, lose the Charisma bonus to AC, and are treated as undead for the purposes of spells and magical effects.  This lasts until your Arcane Focus is on your person again.

If your Arcane Focus is ever destroyed, you perish along with it.  When killed this way, not even True Resurrection or Wish may return you to life.

Contractual Resistances

At 6th level, your Arcane Focus starts giving further benefits, as the Contractor starts seeing your value.  While you possess your Arcane Focus, you gain resistance to necrotic damage, and advantage on saves against poison and disease.

Contract Powers

At 10th level, your Arcane Focus gives yet more powers to you.  You gain the following abilities, each usable once per short rest.

Paralyzing Touch

As an action, make a melee spell attack against a creature.  The target takes 3d6 cold damage, and must pass a Constitution save against your spell save DC or be paralyzed for 1 minute.

A creature paralyzed in this way may repeat the save at the end of each of its turns.  If this save succeeds, the paralysis ends.

Frightening Gaze

As an action, you affix a terrifying stare on a creature within 10 feet of you.  That creature must make a Wisdom save against your spell save DC, or become frightened for 1 minute.

A creature frightened in this way may repeat the save at the end of each of its turns.  If this save succeeds, the fear ends.

Fine Print

At 14th level, your Arcane Focus grants you further powers, and reveals its true nature.

While you possess your Arcane Focus, you are resistant to nonmagical weapon damage, and can no longer die of old age.  Furthermore, your advantage on saves against poison and disease becomes immunity to critical hits, poison, and disease.

However, Turn Undead now affects you, regardless of whether or not you are near your Arcane Focus.  You gain advantage on saves against this if your Arcane Focus is in your possession.
