Unleashing the Inner Titan: Expanding the Mecha-Knight Subclass
The Mecha-Knight: Masters of Iron and Steel
Forge yourself a new destiny, adventurer, as a Mecha-Knight, a subclass of the Artificer who crafts more than trinkets and gadgets. You bend metal to your will, weaving it into towering war machines called Mechs – your loyal companions and instruments of unparalleled power.
Steel Steeds: A Mecha-Knight's crowning achievement is their Mech. Starting at 3rd level, you can construct a formidable Mech using the resources you gather and your inventive mind. Think of it as a complex infusion, your knowledge and magic imbued within a custom-built chassis. Choose from several pre-designed Mech frames, each with distinct strengths and weaknesses, or design your own with the Artificer's tinkering expertise. Customize your Mech with modular components: swappable weapons, defensive modules, utility attachments, and alternative pilot cockpits!
Mech Weapons and Gear: Your Mech isn't just a suit of armor – it's an arsenal. Craft Mech-sized weaponry like thunderous cannon arms, crackling Tesla coils, or razor-sharp energy blades. Don't forget defensive options like force fields, repair systems, and even camouflage modules. You can use the existing Artificer infusions and magic items as inspiration, scaling them up for your Mech's colossal frame.
Ironclad Warriors: Being a Mecha-Knight isn't just about piloting a giant robot. You're trained in harnessing the energies that power your Mech, gaining unique fighting styles and tactical maneuvers. At the 5th level, you can unleash devastating Mech Punches and Stomps, shaking the ground and crushing your foes. Master advanced piloting techniques like Overdrive Engagements for short bursts of explosive power or Emergency Repairs to patch up your Mech in the heat of battle.
Symbiotic Synergy: The bond between Mecha-Knight and Mech transcends mere control. As you grow in power, so does your connection. At the 9th level, you can share senses with your Mech, seeing through its cameras and feeling its metallic grip on the world. At the 15th level, you unlock the ultimate feat of synergy – Mech Merging. Fuse your body and your Mech into a single, monstrous metal warrior, wielding unimaginable power and resilience.
Becoming a Mecha-Knight: This subclass is for the Artificer who craves thunderous explosions and the thrill of piloting a personal war machine. You're an engineer, a tactician, and a warrior all rolled into one. Whether you imagine yourself as a noble paladin in a shining knight-mech or a gruff warforged veteran in a battle-scarred monstrosity, the Mecha-Knight path offers a unique and exciting way to unleash your inner iron giant.
Beyond the Battlefield: Your Mech isn't just for combat. Use it to clear rubble, build bridges, or explore dangerous environments. Your engineering skills and inventive mind make you a valuable asset to any party, whether facing down a dragon or forging alliances with a dwarven mountain city.
So, adventurer, if the call of the forge echoes in your heart, and the dream of riding into battle aboard your custom-built war machine ignites your imagination, then embrace the path of the Mecha-Knight. Forge your legacy in steel and thunder, and stand tall as a titan among mortals!

special attacks

bladed-fighter
you gain a stronger bond with your mech making the mech gain a +5 in any attacks with weapons that deal piercing or slashing damage and gains a -3 to any attack that deals slashing or piercing damage
blunt-fighter
you can have a mech that specializes in close-range combat using blunt weapons. the design features large, sturdy appendages that can be used to pummel opponents with devastating force. But what sets this mech apart is its ability to transform parts of itself into weapons. For example, the arms could detach and form into massive hammers or maces that can be controlled due to electric magic, while the legs could become powerful clubs. This would allow the mech to adapt to different combat situations and keep its opponents guessing. Additionally, the mech's thick armor would make it nearly impervious to attacks, making it a formidable opponent on the battlefield. Overall, I think this concept could be a game-changer in the world of mechs and combat robotics.
magic stance-fighting
There's this mech that's powered by magic and it uses a combination of fighting stances to battle its opponents. It's an impressive sight to see as it moves gracefully and attacks with precision. '
The mech has three unique styles, each with its own set of special moves. The first style is the Dragon style, which is a powerful and aggressive style that focuses on quick strikes and overwhelming force. The mech can use special moves like Dragon's Fury, Dragon's Breath, and Dragon's Talon to unleash devastating attacks on its opponents.
The second style is the Broken style, which is more defensive. This style is all about using your opponent's momentum against them and turning their attacks into opportunities for counterattacks. The mech can use moves like Broken Shield, Broken Blade, and Broken Wing to deflect attacks and strike back with deadly force.
The third style is the Shapeless style, which is the most unpredictable and versatile of the three. This style focuses on fluid movement and improvisation, allowing the mech to adapt to any situation. The mech can use moves like Shapeless Dance, Shapeless Strike, and Shapeless Mirage to confuse and outmaneuver its opponents.
If you want to create your stances, you'll need to earn stance points by using newly learned stances in battle. Once you have enough stance points, you can use them to create your custom stances. These stances can be tailored to your fighting style and preferences, giving you an edge in battle. With enough practice and experimentation, you'll be able to create stances that are truly unique and powerful.
voidling fighter
The mech is an incredible creation that embodies the essence of the void. It possesses remarkable speed, agility, and silence, making it a formidable force. The destructive power of the void resonates within the mech, enabling the use of forbidden magic - void magic. However, its abilities go beyond destruction. Those within the mech can use the void stare to induce others to gaze into the void, giving them control over them. Moreover, by looking at the void, they can transform into any animal or feature they have seen. The combination of the mech and the void creates a powerful and versatile tool that can be used for various purposes.
the ever turning machine
When you merge with your mech, you become highly resilient to piercing, slashing, and blunt attacks. Your body can withstand a heavy blow without taking too much damage. However, you become vulnerable to water, electricity, and ice attacks. These elements can easily penetrate your defenses and cause you great harm. Therefore, it is important to be cautious when facing enemies that utilize these types of attacks. as well as watching fire-based attacks for they can melt you and your mech, so be careful and use perception checks to see what level of fire they are. for instance a level of 1 is fine and will not harm you, but, a level of five would kill you and your mech
mech adaptation
At level 15, the Mechanizer subclass enables you to create mechs and customize them per their requirements. With this ability, players can create up to three additional mechs for their party and tailor them according to their preferences or the ones of their party mates. Moreover, the ability to adapt the mechs to any situation helps you and your party during battles. However, it comes with a performance check with a DC of at least 12, which must be successfully cleared for the adaptation to occur instantly, if not it will take your turn to adapt them. With this subclass, you can be confident in the versatility and adaptability of their mechs in any situation.
