Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Barbarians who walk the path of the grappler find their power from their overwhelming strength and prowess in grappling. Latching on to their opponents with ease and never letting go. They are focused primarily on 1-on-1 combat taking key enemies out of the fight and into the ring. But just because they're focused on 1-on-1 fights doesn't mean they aren't into tag team matches! Barbarians who seek glory or strength in the ring find themselves on the path of the grappler.

Rage of the ring

Starting when you choose this class at 3rd level, you can go into the rage of the ring when you rage. If you do so, for the duration of your rage you can choose to grapple as a bonus action and get advantage on incoming and outgoing grapple checks.

While raging you can attempt to throw grappled creatures which does damage and ends the grapple and your turn. Throws can be done as a bonus action. You can either attempt to do a point-blank throw which leaves the creature any direction right next to you for 2d6 + your throw die, or a toss throw which tosses the creature as far as you can toss them and does 1d10 + your throw die. After a throw is completed the opposing creature must make either an athletics or acrobatics check to prevent themselves from going prone. A throw is simply an action that is done, the opposing creature can do nothing about the throw if you are raging and they are grappled.

Your throw die levels up as follows: Level 3 = 1d8, Level 6=1d10, level 10=2d6, level 14=2d8, level 18=3d6.

Posthumous rage

Starting at level 6, after successfully grappling a creature you can choose to go into a rage even if you lack an action or bonus action.

Sturdy body

Starting at level 8, while you are raging and grappling, you gain resistances to all damage types done by the creature you are grappling.

Unescapable force

Starting at 6th level, Any creature attempting to escape your grapple must make either a strength or dexterity saving throw instead of a contested athletics or acrobatics check. While raging you can choose which saving throw the creature must make.

Balance breaker

Beginning at 10th level, while you are raging you can now grapple creatures 2 sizes above your own. Even outside of raging you now have advantage on grapple checks against creatures your size or smaller.

Overwhelming presence

Starting at 14th level, any creature you are grappling has disadvantage on all saving throws and creatures making attacks against his creature have advantage on their attack rolls.
