Base Class: Warlock
You have made a pact with a being that has long been dead. Whether it be from a necromantic ritual that has partially resurrected the being, or through extended use of an artifact that held a small fragment of their power. Whatever has brought the being back, they have become linked with your body, mind, and soul through their overpowering arcane energy. Their spirit now resides within you, offering you more and more fragments of their power should you answer to their beck and call. The power they offer, however, threatens to consume you entirely should you grow strong enough. allowing the being to break free and control you fully.
Beings of this type include Vecna, The Lord of the Hand and the Eye, The vampire tyrant Kas the Bloody-Handed, The Demilich Acererak, And Karsus, The Unmaker of the Weave.

Bonus Cantrips
At 1st level, you learn the Sacred Flame and Message cantrips. They count as warlock cantrips for you, but they don’t count against your number of cantrips known.
Fiendish Empowerment
At 1st level, you gain the ability to channel the pure arcane energy granted to you by your patron to damage a creature. You have a pool of d6s that you spend to fuel this damage. The number of dice in the pool equals your warlock level.
As a bonus action, you can damage one creature you can see within 60 feet when you target them with a spell, spending dice from the pool. The maximum number of dice you can spend at once equals your Charisma modifier (minimum of one die). Roll the dice you spend, add them together, and damage the creature equal to the total.
Your pool regains all expended dice when you finish a long rest.
Forgotten Knowledge
Starting at 6th level, your bond with the being within you has grown to the point you are able to beseech them for a fragment of their old, forgotten knowledge. When you make an Arcana, History, or Religion Check. Or when making an Intelligence Saving throw, you may gain advantage on the roll. You can use this ability an amount of times equal to 1 plus your proficiency bonus per long rest.
Dark Calling
Starting at 10th level, you perform a dark ritual to embrace more of the dark power of your patron. This ritual takes 1 minute to complete. When finished, you gain the ability to deal Necrotic damage on an attack equal to your class level rounded down plus 1 for the next hour. This ritual can be performed once per long rest.
While under the effects of the ritual, you gain some of the physical attributes of your patron. Such as an extra set of spectral arms, increased height, face/body markings, or their voice.
Malevolent Return
Starting at 14th level, your patron is able to exert a large amount of control over your body in dire circumstances. When you have to make a death saving throw or are unconscious at the start of your turn, your patron is able to take control of your body for a limited time. You regain hit points equal to your hit point Maximum. During this time your body is changed to reflect that of your patrons preferred appearance. In addition, until the end of the current turn, the DM has control over your player character as your patron. The patron uses the Archmage stat block. Each creature of your choice that is within 30 feet of you takes Necrotic damage equal to 4d8 + your Charisma modifier, and it is Restrained until the end of the current turn. At the end of the current turn, your patrons control wanes, granting you control over your body once more as you fall unconscious.
Should you die after this feature has been unlocked, your patron is able to fully take control over your body with no limitations.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until 1d4 days have passed.
