Bard
Base Class: Bard

Bards who study Metal are known for their blood lust and feats on the battlefield. Each Metal Bard longs to be in the carnage and fight, whether it is on stage, provoking their enemies, or bewitching others with their passion for rock, nothing can keep a Metal Bard from finding their way into a tough situation. Brave, stubborn, and intense at best, Metal Bards thrive when they are the center of attention and will usually leave any performance with the observants satiated and exhausted.

Bonus Proficiencies

You gain proficiency with heavy armor, shields, and martial weapons. You can use any weapon you're proficient in as a spellcasting focus.

Instrument of Destruction

Your weapons become instruments of your destruction. When you attack with a magic weapon, you can use your Charisma modifier, instead of Strength or Dexterity modifier, for the attack and damage rolls.

Metal Breakdown

At 3rd level, you learn to perform feats of head-banging metal that can affect the battlefield around you.

During your turn, you can use one of the following Heavy Metal options of your choice. You can use only one Heavy Metal option per turn.

Pig Squeal. You can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration to let out a guttural squeal of gnarly death metal. As a bonus action, choose a creature that you can see within 60 feet of you. It must make a Charisma saving throw against your bard spell save DC. On a failed save, it is frightened by you until the end of your next turn.

Power Solo. You can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration to play a wicked solo on your choice of instrument. Mosh Pit.  As a bonus action, you can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration to unleash a battle cry infused with the fury of metal. Up to ten other creatures of your choice within 60 feet of you that can hear you gain advantage on attack rolls and saving throws until the start of your next turn

Head of The Bat

Metal is in your blood which pours into your jams and lust for battle. Starting at 6th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.

Additionally, you gain the following benefits:

  • You are immune to the frightened condition.
  • When a creature is frightened of you, attack rolls against the creature have advantage.

Slaying Ballad

At 14th level, you have become the epitome of hardcore. You can expend one use of Bardic Inspiration to make one weapon attack as a bonus action. Additionally, when you use your action to cast a bard spell, you can make one weapon attack as a bonus action.
