Base Class: Paladin
The Oath of Bloodshed calls to paladins who seek nothing but to kill, slaughter and otherwise maim the foes of their order and those of whom they ally themselves with. Akin with the Oathbreakers, this order enlists the forces of true evil to come to bat for the supreme power of carnage, akin to the likes of Bhaal's disciples and other ravenous and vicious sort. The Oath of Bloodshed lends itself to many an unsavory kind indeed, and is offered as an alternative to breaking one's Oath should one desire to usurp the truest form of evil for the likes of their own gain instead of wandering the path of the burnt out light. After all, why not change the colors of the flame within you to those that benefit your bloodlust instead?
A paladin must be evil and at least 3rd level to become a part of the Oath of Bloodshed. The paladin replaces the features specific to his or her Sacred Oath with the Oath of Bloodshed's features.
TENETS OF BLOODSHED
The tenets of the Oath of Bloodshed are clear for all who choose to dwell in the feverishly evil side of the balance of the light. Paladins who uphold these tenets are willing to sacrifice even their own lives to mete out justice upon those who are deemed worthy of your righteous slaughter.
Being Strong is Never Wrong. Those who align themselves with the weak and frail are often the first to wither away. It is my utmost duty to punish those weak-sided usurpers who wish to make equity amongst the superior powers of my peers. They are either with me or against me.
No Mercy for Cowards. Those who cross me or my peers and allies will be smitten down like the vermin that they portray themselves as. There will be no second judgement for cowards.
Fuel from the Fallen. The vessels of the fallen foes from my blade are my own, and it is my duty to consume the blood, body or soul of my enemies to help fuel my drive to fight on.
Loyalty is Life. If not for the allies around me, my duty to destroy their foes would mean naught. It is my priority to serve them to the best of my ability, even if it means giving my own life to protect the flock.
Inescapable Bloodshed
At 3rd level, when you pick this subclass, you learn to brandish your powers in response to would-be stragglers and fugitives from your wrath. You learn the Eldritch Blast cantrip.

Channel Divinity
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options. See the Sacred Oath class feature for how Channel Divinity works.
Horrific Presence. You can use your Channel Divinity to exude a terrifying presence. As an action, you force each creature of your choice that you can see within 30 feet of you to make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, a creature becomes frightened of you for 1 minute. The frightened creature can repeat this saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
Bloodied Strike. You can use your Channel Divinity to strike with absolute bloodlust. When you make an attack roll, you can use your Channel Divinity to deal double weapon damage to your target if they have less than their maximum hit points. You make this choice after you see the roll, but before the DM says whether the attack hits or misses. Damage from spells or buffs that are not part of the weapon itself are not affected by Bloodied Strike.
Aura of Hunger
Starting at 7th level, you constantly emanate a bloodthirsty aura while you’re not incapacitated. The aura extends 20 feet from you in every direction, but not through total cover.
While you are conscious, half of all damage done to creatures (rounded up) within 20 ft. of you is added to a pool. Whenever you deal damage to a creature within this 20 ft., you can add up to half of your paladin level (rounded up) of damage from the pool to your temporary hit points. You cannot generate temporary hit points if you already have some. This pool of damage is emptied at the end of every encounter.
The Aura of Hunger pool cap is equal to your maximum hit point total.
At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 60 feet.
Sacrificial Reinforcement
Starting at 15th level, you may fuel your allies with the lust within your own blood when they are weakened. As an action, you can sacrifice up to twice your paladin level (rounded up) in hit points to transfer them for twice their value (1:2 conversion) to an allied creature by touching them. Whenever you do this, you can choose to convert any temporary hit points in the target's hit point pool into regular hit points at normal 1:1 conversion. You can do this twice per long rest.
Blood of the Damned
At 20th level, you gain the ability to expel the blood you collected as toll back unto the foes before you. As an action, you can expel the remaining damage from the Aura of Hunger pool as Radiant damage to up to 10 creatures within range of your Aura of Hunger as a spell attack. Divide the damage dealt by each individual creature targeted by this attack. You must target at least 2 creatures.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
