Base Class: Rogue
It's a nice, quiet night in a small town. You're just getting home from work after a draining day from working at the tavern. The moon is high, and the air is nice, chilly, and crisp, with the aromas of nearby Ale flooding your olfactory system. Your shoes are clacking up and down the stone streets in a wonderful rhythm. But somethings off...
you feel like you're being watched. At first, you seem to think it's just your imagination, your paranoia, it's never been uncommon for you to get anxious at night. But, this is different, this feeling you have in your gut, this horrible churning feeling, you can't shake it. You're doing everything you can to try to focus on something else, anything to distract you from this horrible feeling. You decide to count, it's worked in the past, but what to count? You're looking at the floor, when you decide to count the stonesin the ground. Surely there must be enough simulation to get your mind off of things.
But as you're counting the stones, they suddenly grow dark as a silhouette swallows them whole. In front of you is not necessarily a larger man, but his presence is anything but small. You easily recognize him from the tavern, Mr. Blackwell kicked him out earlier for "unusual behavior". He's a man of average stature, but his eyes are sunken, seemingly lifeless, and his skin very pale. But as he looked up at you, his eyes started to glow to life as his mouth formed a crooked smile. All you can think of is getting away from this man, but as you turn away, his grotesque fingers furled around your shoulder.
"Where are you going?" He asked in a sing-songy voice, his hands gripping tighter. You try to get away, to anywhere, to safety......but it was too late.
A radiating, mind-numbing pain burst forth from your spine, as his blade penetrated the flesh of your back. You want to scream, it's all you can think of to let the pain out, but his hand grasped around your mouth before you could.
"Your blood, it's gorgeous!", he exclaimed.
"But now, my dear barkeep, it's mine, not yours, MINE", as he withdrew the knife before plunging it right back in repeatedly. Dragging you away, dragging you into the darkness, where not even the moon would dare look. You were found the next day, but you weren't really found. The local guard and citizens couldn't identify who you were, and so you remained a mystery to the folks, a mystery that would soon lose their interest.
Blood Frenzy
Starting at 3rd level, whenever you spill blood from an opponent with a critical attack, you may expend a bonus action to go into a blood-fueled frenzy. This frenzy lasts for 1d4+1 turns. For the duration, your movement speed is doubled, you take half damage from Bludgeoning, Slashing, and Piercing, and you may also use Sneak Attack without the need for advantage. After the frenzy is over, you gain 1 exhaustion point. You cannot use this feature again until a long rest.
You may use this feature once more at 9th level, and again at 15th level.
Absolute Malice
The aura you give off is one of pure malevolence, creatures around you are more likely to be on edge when in your presence, and more easily intimidated. You gain advantage with Intimidation checks.
Ichorous Rejuvenation
Whereas the blood of others would cause dismay and unease within individuals, the blood of others instead gives you the warm and fuzzy feeling of comfort and reassurance. Starting at 9th level, scoring a critical hit heals you for 3d6 damage, and grants you an extra 15 ft of movement for that turn.
Serrated Blades
Due to your sadistic nature, you've mastered the art of making others hurt, especially through the modification of your blades. By 13th level, you may use the downtime from a long rest to increase the damage of a bladed weapon by 2d6 Slashing/Piercing damage. This can only be applied once, and to nonmagical weapons.
Overwhelming Obssession
When you reach 17th level, you have developed rather unhealthy obsessions with those you victimize, and tend to single out and have fun with them the most. At the beginning of either a long rest or iniative, you may choose a single creature. This creature becomes your "obsession" until the next long rest. As your obsession, you gain the following benefits(and detriments):
- You have gain the benefits of the Pass without Trace spell towards this creature.
- You do an extra 1d6 Psychic damage towards this creature when you hit.
- Any health gained via the Ichorous Rejuvenation feature from your obsession is 5d6 rather than 3d6.
- After selecting a creature as your obsession for more than 2 days, you become aware of most of the target's patterns and behaviors.
- Your obsession targets you first when you enter iniative against it, your disturbing presence is one that they wish to be rid of immediately.
