Base Class: Sorcerer
Long ago, the gods and first dragons worked together to weave the fabric of reality. They did so using something known as The Song of Creation, a primordial and cosmic magic that echoes throughout all things even to the modern day. Bards of the College of Creation spend their days listening for notes of the song, hoping to play them once more to wield their power. You however, have already heard this song, for the song plays within you.
How long have you heard the song within your soul? Has it been with you since you were born? Did it awaken when you came into contact with a magical artifact? Was it brought forth by the touch of an ancient being? How has the power of the song affected your life? Have you been overwhelmed by the charisma that your melodic voice gives you or have you basked in it? Have the powers ever been too much for you? Have their destructive potential caused any problems in your past?
Whatever the case, you are a strange oddity among mortal beings. You are a note within the greatest song ever sung, and one with such potential cannot stay silent forever.
Chordic Progression
At 1st level, you are attuned to the Song of Creation, and can use that to tap into it's power. When you roll initiative for combat, roll 1d4. This roll determines which Octave the Song of Creation is currently in. You gain the benefits noted in the Octaves of the Song table based on which Octave it currently is. At the start of each round of combat after the first, the Octave advances by 1. If the Octave would advance over 4, it returns to 1 instead. The effects of this feature end combat ends.
Octaves of the Song
1: 1st Octave: You gain 2d4 + prof temp hitpoints. When the Octave changes, if you still have any of these temporary hitpoints, they disappear.
2: 2nd Octave: When you deal thunder damage, you deal an extra 2d6 + your CHA modifier thunder damage.
3: 3rd Octave: You gain 1 temporary Sorcery Point, even if it would put you over the maximum amount of sorcery points you have. When the Octave changes, if you have not spent this Sorcery point, it disappears.
4: 4th Octave: You gain a spellslot equal to your highest level spellslot, even if that would place you above the maximum amount of spell slots you can have of that level. When the Octave changes, if you have not spent that spellslot, it is removed. Alternatively, you may keep that spell slot, but you must expend spell slots of levels lower than that spell slot whose levels combine to equal the level of that spell slot. (For example, if you gained a 8th level spellslot with this feature and would like to keep it, you can expend two 4th level spellslots, a third level spellslot and a 5th level spellslot, or any other combination of spell slot levels that added up to 8).
Magical Voice
Your connection to the Song of Creation has granted you access to magics of the voice, sound, and domination. Starting at 1st level, you learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Cyclical Spells table. Each of these spells counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn't count against the number of sorcerer spells you know. Whenever you gain a sorcerer level, you can replace one spell you gained from this feature with another spell of the same level. The new spell must be a divination or an enchantment spell from the sorcerer, warlock, or bard spell list.
| Cyclical Spells | |
|---|---|
| Sorcerer Level | Spells |
| 1st | Command, Dissonant Whispers |
| 3rd | Enthrall, Gift of Gab |
| 5th | Sending, Motivational Speech |
| 7th | Compulsion, Mordenkainen's Private Sanctum |
| 9th | Dominate Person, Modify Memory |
Melodic Charisma
Within your blood flows the most perfect song in all creation, and this beauty flows from you like a waterfall, drawing others to you. At 6th level you gain proficiency in Performance and Persuasion if you are not already proficient in those skills. When you make a Charisma (Persuasion) check or Charisma (Performance) check, you may treat any roll of a 14 or lower as a 15.
Attuned Conductor
At 14th level, you have begun to grasp the intricacies of the Song of Creation, allowing you to change its tune to suit your needs. At the start of a round of combat, you can use your reaction to change the current Octave of the Song to another Octave. The cycle of the Octaves will advance from that Octave for the rest of the battle, unless it is changed again. You can only use this feature a number of times per day equal to your proficiency bonus.
Primordial Crescendo
At 18th level, your connection to the Song of Creation reaches it's highest point, and the force of it's effects on you increase in kind. The effects of the Octave of the Song are replaced by the following effects.
Octaves of the Song
1: 1st Octave: You gain 2d4 + prof temp hitpoints. While you have these temp hitpoints, your Armor Class increases by 10. When the Octave changes, if you still have any of these temporary hitpoints, they disappear.
2: 2nd Octave: When you deal thunder damage, you deal an extra 2d6 + your CHA modifier thunder damage. Additionally, when you deal thunder damage to a creature, it must make a CON saving throw with a DC equal to the damage or become stunned. It can repeat this saving throw at the start of each of its turns.
3: 3rd Octave: You gain 1 temporary Sorcery Point, even if it would put you over the maximum amount of sorcery points you have. Additionally, your metamagics cost 1 less sorcery point to use while this Octave is active. You can only have one bonus Sorcery Point from this Octave at a time.
4: 4th Octave: You gain a spellslot equal to your highest level spellslot and two spellslots of any level between 1 and 3, even if that would place you above the maximum amount of spell slots you can have of those levels. You can only have up to 3 bonus spellslots from this Octave at a time. When the Octave changes, if you have not spent those spellslots, they are removed. Alternatively, you may keep one or more of these spell slots, but you must expend spell slots of levels lower than that spell slot whose levels combine to equal the level of that spell slot. (For example, if you gained a 8th level spellslot with this feature and would like to keep it, you can expend two 4th level spellslots, a third level spellslot and a 5th level spellslot, or any other combination of spell slot levels that added up to 8).
