Base Class: Sorcerer
A Cursed Soul Sorcerer excels in wielding the mystical power derived from cursed energies, using it to manipulate the world around them. Through focused training, they become proficient in channeling and controlling these unique forces. Their spells, infused with cursed energy, become formidable tools for countering threats and controlling a battlefield. These sorcerers possess a keen understanding of the spectral realm, honing their abilities to detect and analyze curses in various forms. They can create domains to manipulate the battlefield around them, and launch offensive attacks using the potent energy they draw from curses. Cursed Soul Sorcerers often carry enchanted tools or artifacts that amplify their connection to cursed energies, serving as conduits for their mystical prowess. In a world where the boundaries between the natural and supernatural are fluid, these sorcerers play a crucial role as guardians against otherworldly threats, ensuring the safety and balance of the world they inhabit.
Cursed Energy
Cursed Soul Sorcerers learn to channel their cursed energy into their offensive and defensive capability. These sorcerers can expend sorcery points equal to spell level to increase increase the damage die of their spell equal to its level (cantrips spend 1 sorcery point and increase damage die by 1). Likewise, sorcery points can be spent to increase Armor class by +2 per sorcery point.
Domain Expansion
Cursed Soul Sorcerers learn to use cursed energy to manipulate the area around them, gaining the ability to create a domain with a description of their choosing and two parameters from the list below ( 2 more at level 10). The domain can be cast as an action with 1 sorcery point, lasts for 1 minute, and has an initial diameter of 10 feet (the diameter increases by 5 feet for each additional sorcery point spent). During the time that the domain is active, the sorcerer must maintain concentration of the domain and stay within its area of effect. The sorcerer loses concentration, becomes incapacitated, or leaves its area of effect the domain and all of its parameters resolve immediately. The domain exists on the same current plane that it was cast in, can be counter spelled, and physical and magical attacks can pass into the barrier unless stated otherwise.
Amplify
The sorcerer amplifies their own magical capabilities for the duration of their domain. the sorcerer is able to cast a third level or lower spell as a bonus action as long as their domain remains active. Spell slots are spent as normal while using amplify.
Closure
All physical and magical attacks are unable to pass through the diameter of the domain, while all attacks that occur inside the domain function as normal. Creatures can enter or exit the domain at will.
Control
The sorcerer causes a specified condition or environmental effect on all creatures excluding the sorcerer within the domain for its duration. Only creatures that end their turn within the domain or were within the area of effect when cast are are affected by this effect. The specified condition or environmental effect ends immediately when the domain ends. (the sorcerer can change the stipulations of control on a long rest.)
Guaranteed Hit
The sorcerer hits a number of creatures equal to half their sorcerer level within their domain with a guaranteed hit. This option has damage with the same type as a known spell. The guaranteed hit inflicts d12 damage equal to their sorcerer level. The guaranteed hit can be cast for 1 sorcery point and, upon casting, immediately causes the domain to dissipate. (The sorcerer can change the damage type of guaranteed hit on a long rest).
Impose
The sorcerer imposes advantage or disadvantage on attack, ability check, or saving throws made by all creatures including the sorcerer within their domain. (The sorcerer can change stipulations of this parameter on a long rest).
Restrict
The sorcerer places a restricts all creatures within the domain excluding the sorcerer from using movement or a specific type of action or bonus action. Breaking the set restriction causes the creature who broke it to take 1d4 damage per sorcerer level with the same type as a known spell. (the sorcerer can change the stipulations and damage type of restrict on a long rest.)
Reverse Technique
Cursed Soul Sorcerers learn to concentrate their cursed energy into positive energy, allowing them to spend their action to recover 3 sorcery points or bonus action to recover 1 sorcery point. Reverse technique can be used as both an action and a bonus action on the same turn , but cannot be used as an action or bonus action while domain expansion is active.
Perfect Domain
Cursed Soul Sorcerers reach the peak of their ability, specifically in the manipulation of their domain. Domain expansion can now be cast a reaction for 3 sorcery points, but not on the same turn that their domain ends. The initial diameter of their domain increases to 30 ft, increasing by 10 ft for each additional sorcery point spent. The duration of your domain increases to 5 minutes, increasing by 1 minute for each sorcery point spent. Reverse technique can now be used as a bonus action while domain expansion is active.
