Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

You have been surrounded by so much death and despair during your life. As a result, you have formed a bond with death itself. This bond allows you to call forth a horde of undead spectral hands from the ground to aid you in battle.

Deathly Horde

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you can call upon a Deathly Horde when you grapple a creature while raging. The Horde rises from the ground and surrounds the enemy instead, allowing you to move about freely. While they are grappled in this way, they are unable to make attacks of opportunity against you as the Horde will prevent it. You can only have 1 creature grappled in this way at a time. The creature can attempt to break free as normal, contested against you. The effect on the target ends early if your rage ends.

Death Resistance

Starting at 3rd level, your familiarity with death grants you resistance to it. When you make a death saving throw, you may do so at advantage.

Deathly Embrace

Beginning at 6th level, your Deathly Horde’s embrace can inflict pain on those they hold. You can use a Bonus Action each round to automatically deal 7 Necrotic Damage to the grappled creature through your Horde.

Improved Deathly Horde

At 10th level, your bond with your Horde allows it to grow in power. The amount of creatures your Horde can grapple for you increases from 1 to 3. The damage you deal with this ability increases to 15. Also, when using your Deathly Embrace, you deal the damage to all of them.

Wave of Death

At 14th level, your Horde grows powerful enough to strike back at those around you. Whenever you would take enough damage to drop to 0 hp, you may use your reaction to send a Wave of Death out from you in a 15ft radius. Any enemies in this range must make a Strength Saving Throw or take 5D10 damage and be pushed back 10 ft. On a successful save, they take half damage and are not pushed back. This ability can be used once per short rest.
