Dancing with Shadows

Starting at 1st level, when you reduce a hostile creature to 0 hit points, you gain temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier + your warlock level (minimum of 1).

At first level, your patron enchants your shadow with powerful magic, giving you a secret ally. Your shadow gains its own mind and control of its own actions.

Your shadow is not sentient but acts as if it always knows your thoughts. It obeys commands (but need not be commanded verbally). You may have it move around as you please and interact with objects subject to the following rules and restrictions.

Your shadow may move up to 10 feet from you, moving along the ground as if the light source causing it shifted. It may move and act independently, not being forced to mirror your actions. It may change shape as long as it occupies roughly the same area as it normally would. It may not move directly towards a light source.

Your shadow may interact with other objects through touching their shadows. It may pick up, move, break, or take any other action within reason to the object, although it may not directly attack a creature or cause damage to them (it may still interact with them). When interacting with a shadow in this way, the objects move following how it shadow moves, as if you were doing the action your shadow is taking. When trying to move an object, it uses your strength or dexterity scores for ability checks.

Your shadow may not cast your spells and can make no noise apart from the noise it makes using physical objects (or other such reasonable means).

In combat, your shadow takes its turn immediately after yours.

Tricks in Plain Sight

At 6th level you learn the Minor Illusion cantrip if you don't know it already. When you cast it, you may choose to do so without one of it's components (either somatic or material, your choice).

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest. (You may still cast the cantrip normally without using a charge).

Improved Shadow

At 10th level, your shadow gains some improvements.

It may now move up to 30 feet away from you.

Devil's in the Details

At 14th level, you may create a pact between you and another willing creature, binding them with your patrons magic.

You learn the Geas spell after gaining this feature, and may cast it once per long rest (it still consumes a spell slot). You also gain an additional way to cast this spell.

Instead of forcing a creature to undergo a saving throw to commit an action, you may instead trick it into agreeing to the terms of the spell. In order to do this, you must present the terms of the pact and get them to willingly and consciously agree with it through some gesture like a promise, a handshake, or giving a word of honor.

You may present the terms in any manner you wish, and it must be understandable, but it need not be explicit or understood by the creature. You may trick them, use deceptive wording or imagery, hide the message among other words, or use any means you wish. As long as it is discernable what the terms the creature is agreeing to are. The DM may call for a deception check or use an insight check to determine if the creature understands your message.

If the deal is successfully made, the creature automatically falls subject to the terms of the Geas spell with no saving throw. Using this method still consumes your once a day use and a spell slot. However, this consumption only occurs if the creature does agree. If they do not, your once per long rest usage is not consumed.
